I've spent less time in this area of the forum I'll say that much. Most toxic? Nah. Go to an MCU forum and say the Netflix/ABC/Hulu shows are still canon... People will wish death upon your dog. That...causes arguments? A lot of the shows confirm that they're canon.

How are they NOT canon? Daredevil was literally just in No Way Home... like some you can surely have an explanation for but in some cases they're literally taking those characters and doing things with them in the MCU

How are they NOT canon? Daredevil was literally just in No Way Home... like some you can surely have an explanation for but in some cases they're literally taking those characters and doing things with them in the MCU Kevin Fiegie will make some open ended statement about canon and how the Disney plus shows are connected to the movies. People will read into it to much and now believe only the Disney plus shows are canon with movies. Even though Kevin never said the old shows are no longer canon. They will go on long rants pointing out the following… AOS glossed over the blip. There was a bunch of time jumping in the last season so they believe they are no longer in mainline canon. Even though they clearly say they went back to normal MCU at the end. Runaways used a different type of time travel. Jarvis was a character from Agent Carter and he was in endgame but he’s only canon because the fiegie was a producer on that show or something. But it doesn’t mean Agent Carter the show is still canon because of the ending of end game and/or the agent Carter one shot. It goes on and on.

Any Fandom is toxic when you get to the extremes. You really do have to pick your battles and accept some folks take shit wayyyyyyy too seriously.

We are all the same big brained animals, regardless if you are into movies, literature, sports, seasonal episodic television shows, or pro wrestling. The same tendencies of how people act and react are in all fanbases of entertainment, so trying to rank these tribes by toxicity is just illogical.

My thing with AEW is that through two years it's the most universally beloved wrestling show to have ever existed. The satisfaction levels of the people who enjoy it are off the charts. Sometimes there are two shows a week it puts out that get rated a 10 by the majority. That's why I find it odd when people are so consistently defensive about the show. It's not like the WWE board where the overwhelming consensus is the show is complete shit. People love AEW, there's really no need to do a point by point rebuttal of the rare negative posts. I think at least here there are a handful of the same people who literally do nothing but crap on AEW so sometimes when someone needs decides to critique it fans are sometimes quick to defend. I'd like to think I'm one of the bigger AEw fans on the board but I think there are absolutely very valid criticisms for the shows. But I also think the AEW/WWE "war" brings the worst out of people. I saw a person on twitter last night get into a huge argument with Mia Yim because Keith Lee dared to show up in AEW and he betrayed his WWE fans.

I know this may be a controversial subject but I'm interested in what others have to say. This topic came to mind today after watch the latest MarkyD video where he watches current wrestling. He mentioned in his first video doing this he gave dynamite a 5/10 and got death threats for not rating the show higher. I've seen this on Twitter and Facebook as well. And to a much lesser extent here where you can't dislike things without getting attacked. For example on a wrestling Facebook group I mentioned I don't like Danhausen and was immediately attacked for being too stupid to get the gimmick and go back to raw. I haven't watched a full wwe shoe start to finish in years and not a second of raw or smackdown in months. Maybe it's just me that sees this because while I enjoy a lot of things in AEW, there are a lot of popular things I don't enjoy. So anyway to my point does anyone see this with other companies? Is it just a vocal minority? Am I just insane? Social Media is filled with Toxic fans from both side of the coin, I seen it plenty on FB and Twitter. You have WWE "fans" who are anti ANYTHING AEW does or who they sign pretty much want them to fail. Than you have AEW "fans" who trash everything AEW does. Like it almost you not allowed to talk negative about what either company is doing before you get a side that will insult you. These WWE fans are like a bunch of Vince's because they worry so much about the size of a wrestler. Make such a big deal about AEW's TV ratings compared to WWE. Anybody WWE fires pretty much can't wrestle anywhere else because if they "failed" in WWE they are useless attitude.
