... on the same weekend as All Out.
According to Cultaholic that there's a WWE PPV (Or "Premium Live Event") set to air in Principality Stadium in Cardiff on September 3rd.

We've known about the date for ages, as originally we all thought it was going to be a slightly late Summerslam anniversary show given 1992-2022 would be big 30.

Shame it isn’t Summerslam ☹️ But it’s still a good thing for uk fans. Wonder if they will close the stadium roof as we know how unpredictable our weather is.

It could be in my own back garden and I'd still watch All Out instead

That show is going to be at noon USA time, so no problem with All Out (if both shows are on the same day)

There isn't a date set for All Out and the 3rd is a Saturday. Last year's All Out was on a Sunday, so it's conceivable that WWE can run on the 3rd and AEW on the 4th.

You mean that news sites could be working people to increase their own clicks and revenue? Who'd have thunk it?! You're spot on, and it's likely what will happen. A super weekend for us as fans.

WWE's entire company history suggests this weekend was specifically chosen for competitive reasons but if so, it's a stupid way of going about it since it will not effect AEW's ticket tales or buy rates in any meaningful way. And given that, just do a different weekend so your own event gets the buzz it deserves.

Maybe if it was a US show, but not only did they announce this back in October last year (the news sites seem to have only just clicked with the date) but they would have had to book around a lot of UK sports that would be making the venue a lot more money than a random WWE show. So, I think they just picked a summer date close to Summerslam but outside of other UK sporting times, so they can cash in on the anniversary, but not gove up the US cash for an arena Summerslam either. Best of both. It isnt an AEW/WWE thing.

I fully expect somebody on-screen to say they're in Wales, England

Possibly, because it's got a roof that fully closes, unlike any other UK stadium. Maybe even because it might be a test even for a bigger PPV. As it is the biggest UK stadium that doesn't have a curfew, so they could hold a Royal Rumble/Summerslam there starting with US-friendly times.

Should WWE not schedule events until AEW reveals its dates for all its shows and schedule around them, lol?
