It's Wednesday Night, you know what that means! Another night of AEW action and part of a triple-header of shows with the AEW World and Women's World titles on the line but we're focused on tonight and with New Orleans getting its first show after a two-year wait, the card for tonight is surely worth it.
- ReDragon have been chasing the AEW tag team champions, Jurassic Express, for the past few weeks and it comes to a head in a tag title match between the two teams. Will Jurassic Express retain as they did against them and the Young Bucks at Revolution or will it be the time for the Undisputed Elite to get their first set of gold?
- At ROH Supercard of Honor, Minoru Suzuki scored his first US championship (his first international gold since the Rev Pro Tag Titles with Zack Sabre Jr) in the ROH TV title defeating Rhett Titus. His first defense will come tonight and will be against one of the most decorated ROH champions, Samoa Joe in a bonafide dream match! Will Suzuki take the TV title back with him to Japan or will Joe take his second victim in two weeks?
- Before the 30th match in her career and possible continuation of her streak, TBS Champion Jade Cargill will be able to see her future opponent Marina Shafir make her TV debut against fan favourite Sky Blue! Shafir has been on an undefeated tear herself in 2022 so could we be seeing the next TBS champion? And will Blue be able to say anything about it herself?
- The Jericho Appreciation Society and Kingston, Santana and Ortiz have been fighting it out pretty much since the post-Revolution Dynamite and the first match of the groups will come tonight as the former LAX members take on Chris Jericho, Jake Hager and Daniel Garcia. The renamed 2point0 will no doubt be at ringside but that does not mean they'll be spared in the chaos. What'll be the outcome of this heated encounter?
- MJF's banning of Wardlow from arenas and paid leave has worked about as well as expected, many aDPW star black shirt security laying in his wake and as a result, Captain Shawn Dean pulled off his second victory against a member of the Pinnacle in Shawn Spears. MJF will get his second match against Dean this week and will be itching to redeem that DQ loss from earlier this year. Will that happen? Will Shawn Dean make it 2-0 against MJF? And where will Wardlow be?
- Team Taz has been trying their best to cut off the start of the AEW careers of Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland across PPVs, Dynamites and Rampages but it all comes to a head tonight in a tag match was Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs taking on the duo. Starks and Hobbs have been teaming regularly together but Strickland and Lee will be teaming together for the first time in almost 4 years. Will that factor into this match?
- CM Punk was looking for a match for New Orleans and the one to accept was Penta Oscuro so for the first time ever, these two will go head to head. Punk will no doubt be watching the AEW World title match on Friday but Penta is more than capable of taking him to the limit and stopping his momentum.
All this and likely more announcements for Rampage and Battle of the Belts II tonight on TBS, Fite TV and wherever else you get your AEW content!
