Ken Shamrock vs Kurt Angle? Shamrock was pretty much gone by the time Angle debuted for the Federation. Like literally just before Angle made his TV debut. He did have dark matches throughout much of 1999(including one against Owen Hart) up until then, when Shamrock was on the roster. In fact, Shamrock left the WWF right as the company was going through a mini-transitional phase: August 1999:Chris Jericho debuts September 1999:Shamrock leaves right as he was about to have a match with Chris Jericho October 1999:Vince Russo leaves the company for WCW and his close buddy Jeff Jarrett follows him about a week and a half later. November 1999:Kurt Angle debuts at the Survivor Series January 2000:Tazz Debuts at the Royal Rumble, The Radicalz debut a week later. February 2000:Mick Foley retires Even though it was all within the Attitude Era and the company overall had a similar identity, there were huge and notable changes. They even toned down the Crash TV element a bit and put more emphasis on the wrestling aspect with the tag ranks(headed by Dudleys, Edge and Christian, and Hardys) getting featured more and more. Also, I know it's considered a dream match by many, but Heel Doink vs. Undertaker had a miniscule window of it actually taken place and during that time, it didn't look like they were headed in that direction, even with Borne still on the roster. The only time it could've happened was post Summerslam 93 with Undertaker finishing his feud with Giant Gonzalez, but Borne turned face was started his feud with Bam Bam Bigelow. He then got fired in October, but even if he stayed and completed his feud with Bigelow say around Wrestlemania X(as it did with Apollo), Undertaker was out with an injury for much of 1994 and had unfinished business with Yokozuna(before going through Ted Dibiase and his fake Undertaker), so that feud(Doink vs. Undertaker) would have to wait until late 94/early 95 if Borne stuck around that long. While not necessarilly a dream match that needed to happen ASAP, it is something of a shame that Brian Pillman died literally on the day Kane made his debut at Badd Blood. Both were dark characters and I could've seen them interacting(either through a match or partnership) at some point.

They met up in a tag match, but heel Sgt. Slaughter and Dusty Rhodes could have had a decent if quick feud (Slaughter made his return around the summer of 1990, and Dusty left after Royal Rumble 91). You could have Sarge mock the concept of the American Dream only for Dusty to come out and defend it. Only problem is Dusty was still working with Dibiase around this time, leading into the Virgil face turn in the process.

Madusa and Jacqueline were both in WCW in 1997, yet never had a match with each other nor interacted.

Warrior's 1996 return fell squarely within Jake's 1996 return. Would have been interesting to call back to the unresolved TRUST ME/"room full of snakes" business from 1991 -- although if Jake is to be believed (and he usually shouldn't be), he loathed Warrior for costing him the big-money feud. Did they simply avoid each other backstage in '96? In the DSOTR episode on Warrior, Jake made it seem like he didn't see Warrior again till the Hall of Fame inductions, which can't possibly be true. It’s entirely possible that he doesn’t remember it if he did.

I believe Vader's last match in WWF was against Edge, who must have only just recently debuted.

It amazed me when I heard on the Jim Cornette podcast that he was never in the same organisation at the same time as Hulk Hogan. Between them they had basically spent 1983-2013 in continuous employment in either the WWF and TNA yet they never crossed paths in either company.

I feel like a spoiled brat for even complaining about it, because Cena vs Styles and Cena vs Owens was already more than I ever dared imagine at the time, but I'm still kinda salty that WWE never booked Cena vs Samoa Joe.
Especially that Wrestlemania when Cena was playing will-he-won't-he with Undertaker while Joe was in NXT feuding with... I don't even remember, probably f***ing Baron Corbin or something.

Having just caught up on WGGP, Stone Cold and Edge were in the WWF/E for years, but only ever shared the ring a handful of times in multi-man matches. Then again, by the time Edge really found himself as the Rated R Superstar, Austin was long gone as an active wrestler, so it’s not like a throwaway TV match would change this.

I don't ever recall them ever being in the same segment together, let alone having a match. The best time to do it would be when Edge got a face push in the summer/fall of 2001 and they can have a one off match on RAW where Edge takes Austin to the limit only to fall short. Also, Bob Backlund and The Undertaker never crossed paths despite them being in the same company in the mid 90s. Would've loved to see his reaction to Taker's sit up. Speaking of Undertaker, I'm surprised it took until 2009 to have a one-on-one match with Chris Jericho.

A shame we never got to see Pillman vs HBK before the former died. Though he was nowhere near as good in the ring as he once was, the promos would have been outstanding at least.

It's especially a little bit weird it didn't happen because WWE outright mentioned that Cena and Samoa Joe went way back to their origins. Like, you'd think that'd be a really obvious match to do, given that.

Ricky Steamboat was finishing up in WWF in the fall of 1991 right before Ric Flair started working there.

Ricky Steamboat and Mr. Perfect And on that note, Mr. Perfect and Ted Dibiase. Both were in the WWF at the same time, but both were heels until 1993 when Perfect turned face. I wanted to see a match between the two so bad as a kid but we never got it.
