Alex Wright as Berlyn seemed like it could've been interesting at first but the whole thing was a complete disaster.
First they had to delay the debut for months because Columbine happened and Turner people thought his look was too similar to the shooter. He finally debuts and starts a feud with Buff Bagwell. At Fall Brawl they're supposed to have a match but Buff throws a fit backstage and refuses to lose so they kayfabe travel difficulties for him and replace him with Jim Duggan. Duggan completely no sells all of Berlyn's offense though and makes him look like shit in his debut match. Seriously, what did these guys have against him? Was it simply that they thought they were big stars and were above selling for or losing to cruiserweight/"smaller guy" Alex Wright?
His next feud is with perennial jobber Brad Armstrong which is already a bad sign. At the very least he's probably a guy who will have no problem doing the job though and will make Berlyn look good. Well no, because WCW books Armstrong to win their match at Halloween Havoc for some reason and the Berlyn character is basically dead in the water already, less than 2 months after debuting. He hangs around for another month or so, long enough for his bodyguard The Wall to ditch him and go get a bigger push than him, then he's removed from TV for almost a year before briefly returning as regular Alex Wright again.

TBF wasn't the reason that they were push Armstrong as the older brother of that more popular guy in the other promotion?

Oh & Dustin Rhodes as Seven has to be way up there. No one who wrote, shot, edited or produced the vignettes picked up on the pedo vibe?

Will failed repackaging ruin the Tensai gimmick? I thought of him. But in the end WWE got something out of it, even if it wasn't they originally intended it to be.

For a literal example, Lex Luger becoming just "The Total Package" in '99 WCW.

I met him once, and the guy was funny an charismatic, just a natural storyteller. There’s also a shoot video of a Mid South reunion featuring Skandar Akbar, Dr. Death (post cancer surgery, so he didn’t really talk, but him being there brought out stories), maybe someone else, and Brad Armstrong. Brad was a hilarious and animated storyteller, probably the highlight of the interview. And it never once carried over in front of the camera on an actual wrestling show.

Emmalina The Real Liv Morgan Carmella as a wine drinking elitist model or whatever the hell that was Nikki A.S.H.
WWE is horrible at repackaging women unless it's something that happens organically and outside of the influence of the creative team, such as Becky becoming The Man after Nia broke her nose.
Also, Reverend D-Von "That 70's Fat Chick Career Killer Thriller Guy" Mike Awesome
