Kinda muffled but yeah, I was actually surprised there wasn't a thread on this yet. Given he's said for years that his time will be up sooner than people think, given he said he's gonna grind as hard as he can for 10 years and then dip and given the Hollywood bug stuff, I'm not gonna be surprised. He signed a new contract sometime in 2019 I'm guessing it's coming up. Makes sense to me that he'd wanna get in and get out. Be happy Tribal Chief. They do 5 year contracts right? He should be done by Mania 40. Might as well put over Theory or Breakker at that show for the title Apparently his contract ends next year.

This was always coming because he even talked about months ago.
All the eggs WWE put into one basket are slowly lookin at the exit now. and WWE has absoloutley no one atleast on the mens side that anyone IMO can absoloutley for sure say is gonna be THE star to carry them into the following 10-15yrs ...alot of potential but whose to say the crowd is gonna give a shit like the crowd has not given a damn about Bron the times he was on Raw and Theory that dude idk if he is gonna elevate himself to where anyone can see him being THE guy as much as clearly they are wanting him to be.
And everyone they keep bringing from NXT that has any potential they just straight up change them rendering whatever they did in NXT completely pointless.
Roman , Sasha , Alexa are potentially huge losses in the next 5yr window and who knows who else is just gonna not re-sign in that time.

Might as well drop the wwe title to Cody at Summerslam and the universal title to Drew at the uk Ppv. I figure Roman vs the rock will still happen and they might as well have Roman go over because I could see him doing the Cena schedule after

I'll eat my own beard if he ever left. He's a massive cash cow for them.
On the plus side he put over a lot of people during this run, Here is a full list;

But I thought Roman wasn’t a big star and wasn’t over. So why would him leaving be a big blow

I'm weirdly shocked that as much of a control freak Vince is, that this promo would ever happen. So, he puts his career on the line against Rock at Mania next year?

But I thought Roman wasn’t a big star and wasn’t over. So why would him leaving be a big blow At this point, i think Roman deserves the same respect as guys like Cena. He’s at the end of his run and even if he failed as a top face (which wasn’t even his fault), he still had his moments, his cancer made people respect him more and then when he turned heel, it was a career changing moment. But if he’s leaving NEXT YEAR, why the f*** wouldn’t you have him drop the title at Mania 38, which could of put Drew over as the top face till Theory or Bron are ready.

Fightful saying no one he spoke to in WWE thinks there’s any plans for Roman to take an extended break any time soon, and that it could be him referring to working more of a part-time schedule with less house shows in the future as right now he’s working a full house show schedule.

Yeah that’s how I read it, it was more Roman moving to a schedule where he’s not working every house show.

At this point, the Rock/Roman match is a bit like Austin/Hogan - oft talked up, never happens. I swear, Rock injured himself the last time he wrestled and the studio of his movie at the time had an absolute fit about it. I'm not imagining that, right? Dwayne Johnson is as big of a name as "The Rock" at this point, and he won't endanger his bread and butter just to appease Vince. I don't see it. Cody and Bronn are your only two options for taking that belt off Roman at this point, although I could see WWE monkey-pawing themselves into not not taking the title off Roman before his contract is up and he just.. retires.

You know what? Honestly good for him. He's a great performer who WWE has inadvertently sabotaged as much as humanly possible with his booking, and yet he overcame that to find his place. He's beaten cancer, had a fantastic career in WWE and now gets to walk away and spend time with his family. You can't hate that.

I mean what more does he have left to do? He has pretty much every accolade possible in WWE.
And if he wants to try Hollywood, well he has an obvious connection there.

He put over Finn for the Universal title, who got injured, and I'd say he also put over Braun Strowman plenty. That WWE bungled the shit out of both of them isn't really on him.
