I do kind of feel like this MJF situation is sort of reaching a point where they probably should just sit down with him and go, "Look, tell us if you want to leave and we'll have you do a putting people over tour then we'll let you go," because he seems pretty openly miserable now and if there are two years left it's going to get a lot worse well before it gets better. And while he is definitely a draw for AEW I'm not convinced they actually need him.

Well I guess we have a fix for the PPV having too many matches; just job these two out in under a minute.
But seriously this is odd.

They're screwed with MJF cause they need Wardlow to go over however if this is the case with Joe screw him don't give him a pay day and have winner of Allin/O'Reilly winner takes on Cole

Yeah this doesn't sound right. I doubt MJF does this because of silly contract disputes. Everything up to this point has felt kayfabe to me and just MJF and his typical heel tactics. He's trying to keep character like The Undertaker.
Perhaps there's a real reason he wasn't at Fan Fest. If it is him just playing hardball, that's a bad way to go about it... especially when you take it out on the fans.

CM Punk? AEW probably can't ever do that.
MJF? He's only where he is because of three years' exposure on TV. It's possible to elevate someone else to that position and they don't have a lack of options, really.

If this was a true snub by MJF you have him lose to Wardlow in a squash.
Once MJF packs his bag and leaves the arena you email his release papers to him and tell him he is free to go.
You put Ricky Starks into MJF’s slot and you don’t look back.

You want another "I'm a rich jerk" heel to flaunt throwing money around? Just stop making Andrade look like a bitch.

Like, he might be trying to even work the locker room and management. At some point, you've gotta take your foot off the gas with that, because you're gonna rub people the wrong way regardless.

As soon as Andrew Zarian started doing his whole "WWE wants MJF" thing last November, there started to be obvious problems. Tony should have nipped this in the bud early instead of letting MJF continue to do these promos about going to WWE.
Add his friend Cody leaving into the mix, and it's obvious he's been unsettled.

One of the few things I absolutely believe about Vince is that honoring commitments is a must.
It's not a good look for MJF if he's trying to follow Cody.

Talk about MJF's been swirling around for a while, but Joe is a surprise; he's way too new a signing for it to be about contract disputes, unless he's gotten cold feet very quickly or there was some miscommunication about how he'd be used relative to the two different Khan-owned promotions initially.
Or catering sucks and Joe got too hungry and ate MJF and is out with indigestion now.

If the MJF thing is true in an attempt to get to sign with the WWE surely even if they'd want to sign him (which would be a big if since Vince seemingly hates no showing) surely they can't for the foreseeable because with suspending Naomi and Sasha Banks without pay if they hire him that's surely am easy court payday for them.

Interestingly, if the no-show extends to tomorrow* we may have seen the quickest career destruction double-header of all time. WWE, especially now, is not going to hire someone willing to skip out on obligations. *It undoubtedly won't, but... Joe is a much stranger one tbh.
WWE and Vince seems to really like fulfilling your commitments. I forget who it was that said he would not show his Indy dates to start the WWE sooner and they dropped him because Vince sees that as a character flaw. Plus all the times they bad mouth no shows and walk outs as recently as Naomi and Sasha Banks

He samples a couple of those and realizes how AEW catering compares and you’re just asking for problems.

MJF and Joe has let down the AEW Universe with such unprofessional behavior and will be stripped of their rankings indefinitely.

He canceled all his indie dates and to VKM that’s a big no-no. There was someone else, I forget who, but it was before Cesaro that they signed and he offered to skip his indie dates so he could start sooner and the report was WWE insisted that he complete all of them and IIRC even assured the small-time promoters that he’d be there.

Granted being fair when Alberto returned he did the same thing and Vince apparently didn't mind in that case.
