Here is what I hope will happen : Double Or Nothing. The Acclaimed vs The Hardys. After he gets pinned, Jeff announces his retirement.

I'm thinking about Jeff's "one more shot" theme in TNA, which has to be have been over a decade ago by now.
Move on, Jeff. You've squandered every chance at redemption you've ever received. Go be a family man, out of the public eye.

It's a vicious cycle with addiction. I think Jeff's wanting redemption is genuine. But I've seen recovering addicts, those who have been sober for years, throw it all away in one moment of weakness and all that progress is just gone.

If I may paraphrase from the Wire « Getting sober is the easy part, now comes life »

Jeff's "redemption" doesn't need to be public. It'll probably be best that it isn't. It'll probably be even better if he doesn't look at it as being redeemed and just as living a better life for himself.

Somebody's gotta prevent him from wrestling again. Enough is enough

Of the mind that if AEW isn't going to just release him, put him on some sort of exclusivity deal for coaching/backstage stuff.
Dude just doesn't need to be wrestling anymore. He's beyond broke down and physically he just can't do it anymore, and it's dangerous to let him even try.
Having him on contract is a liability but TK seems determined. At least minimize your risk bruh, you're supposed to be good at business.

I get it, Matt, we all know that Jeff's your meal ticket, but my god, at some point, when is enough enough? Wrestling's clearly bad for Jeff in some deeply rooted way, and besides that, if his last run was any indication, he just can't GO anymore, physically.

My issue with Jeff, or well, one of them, is that, if he retires, I don't really know that it'd do f*** all to prevent him from making a mistake again, which would then kind of call into question if the retirement was any more a right move. Part of the issue is that, if he stops wrestling, he'd likely focus on his music, which is good, because no one in the music industry has access to drugs and alcohol, travels often, and throws themselves into their work in a way that's not always healthy.
I'd like if he walked away, one more match or not, either way, and did something like maybe work on some memoirs. Something that might occupy him without putting him in as many risky positions.

Well he ain't a backstage worker type of fella. And music these days is pretty clean unless he has a quest to be the next hot Atlanta drill artist straight outta soundcloud with a face tattoo on it.

I’m glad that Jeff is happy, but he needs to be completely done with wrestling. After countless embarrassing DUI arrests & letting down his fans, Jeff needs to know when to let go.
