At my work tardiness is a big issue with some co-workers as is some basic lack of work ethic. So my co-worker and I once had this exchange.
Me: Yeah he comes on time, but the thing is when he gets here he doesn’t actually do anything.
Co-worker: But that’s the whole point! If he gets here and doesn’t do anything he’s a stooge!
Maybe if it was still the 1950s the insult would have seemed more common place. But to hear someone call another person a stooge with such vitriol in the 2020s sure was something.

Lol.. knew this kid in middle school/high school that tried insulting another kid by saying “ f***ing asshole “ but for whatever reason he combined the two words. Sounded like “fukahrasso” and I’ve never forgotten it.

I knew a kid in middle school who called people "hymen". I'm not sure he even knew what it meant. I certainly didn't. I thought he was saying "high man", which was very confusing as an insult.

Someone called me a Philistine because I didn't think Xenogears was the best thing since sliced bread.

Someone called me a Philistine because I didn't think Xenogears was the best thing since sliced bread. My paternal grandmother used that one, but she was religous.

There's those old fan that is at every indie show in AL. Nicknamed Peanut. He runs around the entire show yelling at the heels "YALL IS YELLA".
First time I saw him and heard him I laughed cause I hadn't heard yella used as an insult since what the 70s?

I love old turns of phrase, but have heard very few in real life.
The first that comes to mind that I have heard is when a female deputy was dealing with an asshole inmate, and finally said to him, "You should have been a blowjob."

Older Jewish woman called me a schmoo (sp?) once after I told her about a girl I was dating but not "going out" with, and I'm still not sure what they meant, but I don't think it was good.

Someone once left a review of a story I wrote saying "You are autism"
I wasn't even mad when I read that. I was more bemused and dumbfounded. What does that even mean? It's like he's trying some next level autism insult, but he's falling flat on his face and crapping his pants in the process.

I still remember being at a high school party when a group of people showed up who nobody seemed to know.
One of those guys aggravated a friend of mine, who loudly said “Two questions: Who is this guy and who is he kidding?”

One that I've used a few times:
"You couldn't whoop my ass even if I let you".
