Unforgiven. WCW had a decent, albeit not great, card, but Unforgiven just has more compelling stuff on it. 1998 me would have absolutely been much more interested in the Inferno match.

I think it ended up being nothing special but at the time I'd have been excited to see what an inferno match looked like and how they would be able to burn someone so Unforgiven.

Over the Edge

Looking at it almost a quarter century later that WCW card looks super strong on paper but at the time the rot had started to set it. What should have been a dream match between Bret Hart and Randy Savage had a mess of a build with them both playing second fiddle to Hogan. And Nitro the week before spent more time hyping Bischoff and his "challenge" to Vince for the PPV than any of the actual matches.
Even with those short-comings I'm still tempted to go with Slamboree due to the star-power and potential match quality being higher but the Austin/Vince/Foley/Undertaker and DX/Nation stuff was so hot I'd definitely have went with Over the Edge at the time.

WWF. I was a huge Foley fan, so I would have been all over that.

Over the Edge for me, Slamboree has the star power but looks stale.

Slamboree probably would've intrigued me more at the time.

Even though I was starting to lean towards WWF at the time, I went with Slamboree.

Over the Edge, but that WCW card looks stacked. Is that the famously amazing Goldberg/Saturn match?

Over the Edge.
The prelude and aftermath of the cruiserweight battle royale is peak WCW but WWF ridin' high on early Austin/McMahon was something else. I wouldn't know what was about to go down in the former either.

Over the Edge, but that WCW card looks stacked. Is that the famously amazing Goldberg/Saturn match? Assuming you mean the one where Goldberg reversed the Rings of Saturn into the Jackhammer, that was at Spring Stampede. As for the question, I’d pick Over the Edge.
