Halloween Havoc. That’s maybe the most stacked WCW PPV ever even if some of it didn’t deliver.

Halloween Havoc for me, the top 2 matches interested me more.
Even though WWE was so exciting, the Judgement Day Card didn't thrill me. Plus finding out the results afterwards wouldn't have made me regret it either.
Plus I would be happy claiming my refund for Halloween Havoc lol.

Going Havoc this time. How can I not pick Bret Hart vs. Sting?

If we're talking on paper, then Halloween Havoc easily wins this one. I remember really looking forward to Goldberg vs. DDP and Bret Hart vs. Sting.

Yeah given the discussion is about speculatively buying the card, I would go with Havoc.
Even with retrospect, the Goldberg/DDP match is a masterpiece

Halloween Havoc. Isn't to say that the WWF show had nothing going for it, but the WCW card for this is too stacked, since they really wanted to try to justify Warrior's paycheck. I have no idea what kind of sales numbers Halloween Havoc did this year, but unless it's one of their top ones, they probably were disappointed.

Easily Halloween Havoc. One of the most stacked WCW shows of this period.

Havoc. We all know what happened with Hogan/Warrior II, but I was interested in how it might have played out.

It's not that 310k or so is bad, exactly. It was significantly more successful than Fall Brawl and World War 3. It also probably cost a lot goddamn more than those did, though, while being significantly less than Halloween Havoc 1997 did in sales. Not a good thing to see for Bischoff and WCW when they were giving Warrior so much money.

Halloween Havoc by a wide margin. Loaded card, the best set ever IMO, one of the only great main events prime WCW ever had between two white hot talents. Then you had Sting/Bret, which was a dream match at the time. The storyline and matches with Disco were really good. Jericho/Raven was solid. Hogan/Warrior was a wild gimmick, but kind of interesting at the time.

Not a good thing to see for Bischoff and WCW when they were giving Warrior so much money. They didn't even sell out the building either which you think would be a given with a major PPV in a big city, one of the most stacked cards ever and wrestling being super hot at the time. They had 2,000 less than the previous year with Hogan/Piper age in the cage and WWE MITB in the same building last year sold more with a not exactly stacked card. The first AEW Double or Nothing in that building also sold more tickets than HH 98. A card like this should have been capable of taking place at the Georgia Dome or selling out a 40-50,000 seat stadium. I think WCW were notoriously terrible advertisers though and put all their eggs in the TV basket at the expense of PPV.

Taking both cards as-is, I'd still pick Survivor Series here

Survivor Series. Just like the other big 4 PPVs that year, it had a great build and the hype was sky high for the Deadly Games tournament and the promise of a new champion.
