WWE Person of the Year 2022 (Time Magazine criteria)

It's that time of year for you to all decide who is WWE's Person of the year. And like in previous years, we're following Time Magazine criteria.

That means we aren't just looking at the person who had the best year with the greatest achievements. Rather, we take into consideration the person who stood out the most for good or bad reasons.

Time explains it's “the person or persons who most affected the news and our lives, for good or ill, and embodied what was important about the year.” Historically, one of the most common examples is Adolf Hitler who was Man of the Year in 1938.

Triple H would get my top prize vote. Guy got people hopeful for the company’s future in a matter of weeks.

Runner-up #1: Michael Cole, for his instant turnaround into possibly the top announcer in wrestling, making the shows go from a chore to a smooth ride to watch.

Runner-up #2: Rhea Ripley, for uniting the entire wrestling world (wrestlers & fans) in the desire to be her personal bitch.

Going with Triple H or Vince McMahon. Vince because of how his infamy finally caught to him and how his "retirement" was such a fundamentally huge event in the wrestling world. Triple H for taking up the creative reigns in WWE and changing a lot about the company from backstage culture to presentation.

Triple H went from all but ousted from his dream job, to the MASTER of the Universe.

It's got to be Vince. Dude leaving was a day that nobody thought they would see, and it's effects are being felt every day in the company and on the TV.

Also, who in the blue hells voted for Hit Row and the Dead Meat Motherf***er? What exactly have they done to stand out the most?

Vince - Clear winner, tempting to include hhh but all the ups and downs of his families years are linked to Vince's actions.

Zayn and Rhea - As someone who hasn't watched any WWE the traditional way all year these two are the ones that shine through in clips/social media.

Braun - Talking of social media, the downfall of twitter is a big story this year and he's one of the biggest clowns on there. But as well as twitter and wwe he was a key part in CYN and wesuk.

Roman - Obvious reasons

IMO, it's Vince. But the other two I voted for:

Triple H - From persona non grata to top of the company.

Naomi & Sasha - Their situation almost felt like the beginning of the end for Vince. The beginning of the avalanche. Even now, people are still wondering where they are going to be showing up. They are one big unanswered question.
