I went down a youtube hole when I watched a video detailing the history of Tessa Blanchard. So I thought an interesting topic might be wrestlers who for one reason or another have burned their bridges with the major promotions past or present and have absolutely no chance of returning. Note, I'm only counting the major promotions (WWE/AEW/Impact) as it's one thing to appear at a small indy show compared to appearing on tv weekly. I'd be interested to know if you have wrestlers pre-2000 as well.
As I mentioned her before, Tessa Blanchard. The major reason for her backstage behavior toward other women, but another reason is burning her bridge with Impact by refusing to cut promos.
Names so far:
Tessa Blanchard Austin Aries Low Ki Marty Scrull Joey Ryan Nailz New Jack

I'd still like to see Tessa get a WWE run and feud with Charlotte. The history with their father's writes itself.

I am not entirely convinced WWE wouldn't roll the dice on Tessa. The Women of Wrestling breakup is still relatively new, and they've frankly "forgiven" people for less if they felt they'd make money with someone. They would make money with Tessa, and at relatively little danger since it's WWE, they can just shitcan her if she isn't sufficiently tamed for their liking. Doesn't mean I think they should, just, they could, even if it would get a mixed reaction from the locker room to say the goddamn least.
Marty Scurll is in a more... precarious position. He has confessed to some really shady shit, to put it mildly, and while unfortunately not atypical in wrestling history, he burned a lot of people. His former closer friends in the Elite want nothing to do with him, so AEW isn't happening, and in WWE, it's the kind of attention they very much do not want.

Past examples? Barring the one shot in WCW, Nailz. Depending on what you considered ECW, New Jack too.

Yeah, I think they should be considered as well. Aries seems to make enemies everywhere he goes. Hell, both men seem to have high opinions of themselves despite short runs in the WWE. Yeah Nailz is a good call as well. Was there anything he did in WCW that warranted his short run there? One more, Ivelisse is most likely done as well given her shitty attitude.

Sexy Star. Guys like Cody, Road Dogg and others were very vocal about never working with her after what she did to Rosemary.

Teddy Hart immediately comes to mind. Batshit insane, a criminal, spousal abuser and almost universally hated by other wrestlers. Nobody wants to take on that headache, especially now that he's on the wrong side of 40.

Ughhh, I remember that match he had at an Impact Mania Weekend show a few years ago and he did nothing except get his shit in all match

Feels kinda weird to have dead people on that list like New Jack.
Marty Scurll was also this close to having a NJPW return before public and locker room backlash made them reconsider.
I think Ryback might be on this list because I doubt WWE will ever bring him back and AEW doesn't want anything to do with him either. Impact would probably take a chance on him but they probably couldn't afford to pay him what he's worth in his mind.

I fully believe that the WWE will bring Tessa in at some point. The WWE is the one place where she could get a run solely because there are a ton of veterans in backstage roles and a bunch of the women that are more over and bigger stars than Tessa will ever be that aren’t going to put up with her shit. Tessa is at her worst when she’s the big star and the promoters treat as such. Combine all of that with HHH and his love of the NWA and it’s probably almost a lock IMO. Not saying it will work out because Tessa is going to Tessa, but I definitely think she’ll show up.

Aren't the Briscoes dealing with a soft blackballing? I remember there being rumblings that TNT didn't want them around. I know Impact can use them of course, but I think WWE and to some degree AEW can't.
Actual blackballing? Quackenbush.

Ryback is a strange case of a guy who basically self-blackballed by insisting upon being paid way more money than he's worth and sticking to it even after it became obvious nobody was biting.

Yeah Nailz is a good call as well. Was there anything he did in WCW that warranted his short run there? If you believe certain urban legends, it was a "thank you" from Bischoff for the locker room altercation with Vince.

Imagine hiring a guy who strangled his last boss just to score some imaginary ego points

I think Ryback might be on this list because I doubt WWE will ever bring him back and AEW doesn't want anything to do with him either. Why? Also adding the name Michael Elgin to the mix, it doesn't look like he's going to be employed anywhere major in the future.

Outside of being a talking head on some Network stuff the WWE don't seem to want much to do with him. With AEW that bridge was burnt before they had even run a show.
