I don't know how much of it is blackballed and how much of it is personal choice, but Psicosis hasn't worked north of the border since he got fired from WWE for the carjacking incident.

From all the names mentioned:
Ryback is a self-imposed exile because he thinks he's worth more than he actually is. The guy read "The Secret" and let self-confidence turn into self-delusion.
Scurll screwed himself because he couldn't keep it in his pants, legal or not, and used his position and authority to get laid. That's a pretty firm door slam.
Sexy Star decided to shoot on her opponent and not break a real-life hold, which is about as big of a no-no as you can do in professional wrestling.
Tessa is an egomaniac with some... I'll be diplomatic and say "problematic" issues.
Michael Elgin is both unstable and some unflattering things came out about him.
A lot of these blackballed wrestlers are pretty cut and dry scenarios.

Does Sunny count? Or in she in her own special category of shit.
My gut feeling tells me she probably doesn't count because of all the shit she did over the years but people were still willing to throw money at her. My other gut feeling tells me she should count because I'm not sure sitting in jail allows for many booking opportunities.

Can anyone give me a bit more detail on the Marty Scurll situation? From what I've seen he hooked up with a 16/17 year old in a club in the UK when he was mid 20's whilst both were drunk. Have I missed something here? Yes, she's young, but she is also of legal age in the UK to have sexual relations and it was consensual as confirmed by both sides. Compared to what others have done and of those who received second chances, it doesn't appear that bad. Apologies if I've missed something glaring. Said girl was being trained by Scurll, which he means he broke UK laws about under-18s having sexual relations with someone in a position of trust/power. She couldn't legally consent.

David Schultz kinda got blackballed back in the day. Not for slapping Stossel like he claims though. Vince was in no way powerful enough at taht time to blackball someone from all of wrestling. He basically got kicked out of every territory for being an asshole that was more trouble than he was worth. There's a promo of him in Memphis with Randy Savage, cutting a promo on Jerry Lawler where he flat out goes off and says like JERRY LAWLER IS DISEASED AND THAT DISEASE IS AIDS! and goes off how no one wants anything to do with him. he did all of this while wearing a shirt with a Swasitka on it... gee I wonder why Memphis didn't keep him around after that promo? Doing a promo wearing a swastika shirt with an ethnically Jewish wrestler in the ring was certainly a choice.

It was technically legal but really gross, even leaving out that she was intoxicated. The age of consent is 16 but that's only so 18 year olds don't get thrown in jail for having sex with their 16 year old girlfriend. In England it's still considered nonce behaviour for grown ass men to hook up with 16 year olds.

He's been rebuilding his reputation fairly well in MLW and the indies. I think the only reason he really hasn't gotten a look elsewhere yet is Morrissey has said he wants to stay a singles wrestler and most places have been interested in them as a group

Is David Starr still lurking about or has he just gone back to a "civilian" life like Jimmy Havoc?

Jimmy Havoc might be the one instance of a recent problematic wrestler seemingly straight up acknowledging they're done as a credible wrestler and moving on with their lives, though I don't recall how much of that was willingly persay. Beats the hell out of the embarrassing gasps at staying in the spotlight that have come from Scurll and ugh, Joey Ryan.

If I remember right, Jimmy admitted he needed to get out of wrestling so he didn't fall into vices. He's a truck driver now. He tried a few months ago to hype up a potential return but it didn't go anywhere. Turns out that most wrestlers hated him anyways so him being an abuser made it easier for wrestlers to refuse to work with him

Beats the hell out of the embarrassing gasps at staying in the spotlight that have come from Scurll and ugh, Joey Ryan. I feel like it's about a 50/50 in that case. Like he knew that he could probably still get indy booking and command a decent price, but also grasped that any notable promotions weren't going to touch him with a 20 foot pole, so it would just be better for him and everybody involved if he just accepted his career as a wrestler was never going to to anywhere I also kind of think it might have something to do with the counselling he underwent. He might have just realized that the environment of professional wrestling just isn't healthy for him. That may just be wishful thinking on my part though. As far as David Starr his last match was March 16, 2020 in a winning effort against Callum Newman.

Al Snow? Seems to have alienated basically everyone with his dumbass "back in my day" hot takes, and he's never really been popular enough to be a solid nostalgia act. Per wiki it sounds like Impact was cool with using him as a backstage guy, but he decided buying OVW and trying to make it a thing was a better use of his time, so I'd imagine the bridge is burned.
I've never heard anything about Snow being on bad terms with anyone at Impact, or having left there with any animosity whatsoever. Quite the opposite, actually.
Yeah OVW and Impact have a great relationship. Impact sends wrestlers over there to help promote tapings and ppvs, and a lot of ovw guys have worked impact tapings in ring and backstage gofer roles, and impact has used the Davis arena for taping their old skool shows.

Simon Gotch? He seems to have a pretty negative reputation. It sounds like he has an attitude or personality that just clashes in locker rooms. When I use to referee I actually heard one first hand account about how aloof and unappreciative he is.🤷♂️ My guess is that it isn't a coincidence that he hasn't been back in WWE or ever been in AEW or Impact. He had a okay run in MLW for a few tapings seeing how they brought in nZo he probably won’t be back anytime soon.

A drunk 16 year old can't fully consent, especially when there's the power dynamic of their teacher (Scurll) deliberately getting them drunk. That's really bad.

I don’t know how much he was actually training her as it sounded it was just a big name doing seminar before a show or two… BUT considering he was friends with her dad and send him an apology text the next day that is still a position of trust and power which makes the whole thing really gross.

I think the only reason he really hasn't gotten a look elsewhere yet is Morrissey has said he wants to stay a singles wrestler and most places have been interested in them as a group I wouldn’t mind Enzo getting a shot somewhere again. He put himself in a stupid spot and then doubled down on the stupid by not letting the E and their legal team handle it, but it doesn’t seem like he did anything like these other guys. He’s been laying low for a while and staying out of trouble as far as I know.

Aren't the Briscoes dealing with a soft blackballing? I remember there being rumblings that TNT didn't want them around. I know Impact can use them of course, but I think WWE and to some degree AEW can't. Actual blackballing? Quackenbush. TK wants to use the Briscoes. Hence why they have an ROH deal even if they can't get on TBS. Impact, ROH, NWA, HOG, GCW and Conrad have all used them this year.
