I mean in gimmick that's literally what they are and how they're booked. I don't think it's inherently a bad thing to have teams who are like this, but find ways to cheat and win and be cowardly douchebags who take the easy way out Yeah, we’ll see. The more I think about it the more I wonder if just going FTR/Acclaimed at Revolution and letting people pick a side would be better, but who knows if they’re actually coming back. They could, Acclaimed/Ass Boys could be a stip main event on one of the last four Dynamites, they win, and FTR comes out.

I have like negative interest in seeing the Gunns wrestle so definitely not a fan of this. Also was a terrible way to end what was a show with three fantastic matches. IMO, Danielson/Rush and the post-match stuff with MJF would’ve be a better way to end things.

No I feel pretty confident in saying that on like actual objective terms people do not want to see Acclaimed vs. Gunn Club as a serious actual PPV match. "People" here as like a weighted average of AEW's viewerbase. This is not a wanted match. This is not something people are excited for. Most of the time speaking for everyone is in poor taste but this is one of those times that no I think it's valid to say people don't want to see this.

My hot take here is the Gunns are actually pretty solid workers who usually get good heat and have worked hard to improve a ton over the last three years. I'm happy for them.

For what it’s worth, the Gunns just tweeted a shot at FTR, so it feels like that may be the match.

Which is why I'm wondering if it will even be at the PPV There's a chance this just closes a Dynamite and we then move on to the Revolution Match Khan really likes short PPV builds for certain matches, there's a possibility this just mains a Dynamite and we get Acclaimed/FTR at the PPV or something.

Some of the reaction Ive seen online, acting like this was Arquette winning the WCW title level of bad.
If the Gunns beat Acclaimed again the will beat FTR
A quick reminder that last year they were going to put the titles on washed up Hardyz before Jeff got arrested and Matt can barely move.

The crowd will be glad the Acclaimed wins it back, but I think there's a difference in "After we do this bad thing we can do a good thing and people will respond to it well", and "This whole package is something viewers want to perceive". I'm sure this match can muster a "Finally, it's over" breath of relief from the crowd. I'm sure The Acclaimed hitting their music and them scissoring will get a huge pop. It doesn't mean the match is someone people will treat as anything more than a laborious mess to get through en route to the ending that won't suck.

Im not gonna say they ar eslme of the best in ring but they are good and they have good character work and promos. Add that with a story I am invested and I see no reason to dislike it.

If we go by " weighted" option reddit has a much bigger base and the reactionary seemed mostly positive.

FTR beats the Gunns and Acclaimed moves to the Trios division?

Whether people like it or not Gubns have been the most over heel tag team for a long time in aew. I honestly think their heat is more annoyed/go-away heat , or at most heat in the sense of “oh they’re a fun lower card act.”
