Well, that was certainly an ending to an otherwise strong Dynamite.

Wrong match to finish the show with and I don't think the Gunns are anywhere near tag title material, not considering the number of tag teams AEW has. I'm sure we'll get the rematch at the PPV and the Acclaimed will probably win them back, but meh.

I loved it. It's the next step in a long term feud between these two teams. The idea is they're clearly not the best or anything close to it. They're assholes who attacked their own father and cheated to win. And they did it to a beloved team. It's supposed to make you want to see them lose and get their ass kicked. Titles do matter and you need to protect them to an extent but they're also tools to tell stories and this is how you can use them to push a story along to the next chapter.

I'm fine with the result as I think they've been telegraphing it for a few weeks. But something was off with how it went

I'm sure Acclaimed will whoop their asses and get the belts back. Whole thing just feels like a filler feud to me.

It was a fine ending, it literally sets up a Grudge Match at Revolution for the belts
The Gunns are great coward heels, they cheated to win, they robbed the champs, even commentary was pissed about it
Acclaimed will get them back to a big pop, maybe in a Cage Match? Sweeten the pot a bit, add a bells and whistles stip most likely, but this isn't the end of the world, it was also a shock, which is something people have wanted on Dynamite more
We have a legit feud here now, a blood feud, and the crowd wants the Ass Boys dead, just keep it going and it'll be fine

Didn't bother watching the match (and judging from the thread it sounds like I didn't miss much) but it strikes me as really wrong that Santana and Ortiz, Chuck and Trent, Reynolds and Silver, Uno and Grayson...so many great tag teams have never won the tag titles and yet THE ASS BOYS have.

I would have had Bryan V Rush be the last match. Go out on a high note, lessen the sting of that finish.

It was an entertaining match. I don’t mind the CrashTV, overbooked stuff, if it isn’t the ENTIRE show like in the late 2000s.
But, man, I’m sad my boys lost the titles.

The Acclaimed should win the belts back at Revolution. The Ass Boys are not “long term champs” material imo.

You can keep pushing the "this sets up the rubber match!" stuff for the PPV but The Acclaimed have far less chemistry with the Gunns than they did with Swerve/Keith Lee or FTR or even Jarrett/Lethal. It's also just a really boring story since they already did this in the fall.
I'd rather them just face a returning FTR or Top Flight. It just feels like such a waste of a PPV tag title match. Maybe the worst PPV tag title match since the first one with SCU having the tag belts.

They are I don't see any situation where they retain past Revolution unless they have a stipulation match with a cowards way out. Even then, I don't think so. This is designed for a Revolution Match to generate buys and a big pop when Acclaimed get them back

Street Fight, Cage Match, likely this is what's gonna happen And their Dumpster Match together was a lot of fun imo

It's a reign designed for them to look like cowards, steal the belts, and be transitional champs The teams you listed deserve legit reigns, this wouldn't have fit any of them and angered people even more
