I mean whether or not it's true it'd be nice to have some kind of citation on rumours if they're being brought into a conversation so it's not just "Yeah some guy on twitter said this" and we're game-of-telephone-ing our way to treating them like they're real when they came from romanreignsbigdog16

They misspelled Ric Flair on the invitations, no wonder he wants another Bar Mitzvah.

I just want to say that the Re-Bar Mitzvah segment was the most aggressively Jewish thing I've ever seen in pro wrestling and I loved every second of it.

If we get more of the MJF we saw last week it'll make things better
I think this feud having four people in it will also help MJF vary his style and be less exposed

If we get more of the MJF we saw last week it'll make things better This was easily the most interested I've been in MJF probably since the Punk feud. His whole heel schtick since has been a slog to sit through. But the Re-Barmitzvah, the four pillar promos, the whole thing was just such a breath of fresh air compared to what he's been doing. If he keeps THAT up, I could actually dig his title run.

I change my stance on this. Max has def grown on me since he’s been doing the Adam Cole Shit. He’s much better as a face surprisingly. He’s very witty and has a lot of potential. If he quits doing the edgelord shit I think he can be one of the GOATs

MJF is a wrestler that needs to work with people on and off screen that bring out the best in him and curb his worst tendancies. This whole angle has done that, hopefully that continues.
Fair play to aew, I can imagine a lot of companies pulling the plug and going with a proven name for the main event for a show as big as Wembley rather than tweaking things and making it work.

I think Max puts a LOT of pressure on himself when he's being a heel, because he's so good at being a douchebag who wins by a combination of sheer luck and craftiness that it makes him a lovable villain. Max thinks old school enough that he doesn't WANT that kind of reaction, so at his worst he goes in some super edgy territory that's not exactly his strength. It's like if Ric Flair wanted to be Jake Roberts - just not a fit for his skill set.
Could be totally wrong, but that's what I suspect caused his issues with the no-showing and such prior to the Wardlow match. I really do think the guy just had a complete mental breakdown and Tony or someone else had to talk him into bumping like a cartoon character for Wardlow, then cutting that probably pretty accurate worked-shoot promo the following Dynamite, and then disappearing until he had a new angle/character idea to try with "The Devil"
Personally, I think Max (and Tony, by extension) should embrace the fact that the audience WANTS him to be a babyface, and run with it. Turning him heel will be easy when the time is right.

MJF reminds of a 2004/2005 Eddie/Cena hybrid. The future and present of the company, but isn’t afraid to lie/cheat/steal his way into success and make the fans like him doing it

The Bret Hart intro absolutely creased me. Just beautiful.

MJF has fit nicely as the lovable rogue in the vein of Eddie Guerrero or Roddy Piper, and it’s helped reinvigorate his title run greatly.

MJF as a face champ is so much better than the heel work he was doing earlier this year it's almost absurd. He seems to be a great guy to send to talk shows and the like.

To think, if Better Than You BayBay never took off as well as it did, we’d just have Max doing middling cheap heat shtick and the 2024 teasing at this point.

MJF, over the past month or 2, has turned into a guy you can build a company around, IMO. I honestly never though I would enjoy a "face-ish" MJF and here we are. I love it. He still does heelish things and it doesn't matter.

The last few months have felt like I'm watching someone on their way to becoming a legendary wrestler entering their prime. In a company that gives him the spotlight on the biggest stages to do it properly. That's such a rare feeling.
Then he ruined it all with gimmick infringement. Bret Hart superfan is FTR's gimmick! Wheeler even took being a hitman a little too literally. What a scumbag.

Max's reign is quality over quantity. He hasn't had many title matches. But whenever he has, they have all been great to excellent.

MJF turned around a monstrously underwhelming run full of really bad material into one of the best parts of AEW. He always had it in him to do better and this is that better, and he's just more compelling an act in this capacity than he was doing the lamest, cheapest shit day in and day out. Even when he goes heel again I think he's finding a rounded idea of a deeper, fuller character who would be way more worth seeing on TV.
