LOL the Ravens will not let Lamar walk for two first round picks. That’s a shit deal for Baltimore. They wouldn't have a choice unless they match whatever Lamar can get on the open market.

Looks like the league isn’t going to go nuts for his services (I *kind* of get it. He’s a step below the megastars imo) Like if Dan Jones is getting 40 million.., wtf is Lamar going to get, and it’s absolutely crippling you moving forward. There’s like one guy I’m comfortable with giving that much money and he’s the guy in KC.

They’re going to match is what I’m getting at. This allows Lamar to get the best deal and the Ravens to keep him. It’s an act of good faith. I’d be quite shocked if this was anything other than exactly this. especially with the dearth of legit franchise QBs.

Sorry, in which case I agree with you that they will just pay up and swallow it rather than let him walk out the door. It'd almost be worth the Steelers throwing in a massive offer to call their bluff.

The ripple effect that Wilson and Watson created in terms of QB costs is going to bite team owners in the ass for years to come.
I freely admit I'm biased where I'm a Louisville alumnus, but Lamar is definitely worth more than Deshaun Watson, and the Browns are the idiots who decided that he was worth nearly a quarter of a billion for 5 years.

Lamar has what 3-4 years left before it’s likely his skill set diminishes significantly?
If you’re talking about giving up draft stock it makes more sense for a team that may just be a QB away from a contender.

I think stick Lamar on any of the QB needy teams, and they'd be considered a strong bet for the playoffs. It's not like the Ravens have a particularly loaded roster.

I would say there are only two, three maximum, quarterbacks I'd take over lamar: mahomes and allen (you *might* be able to make a case about burrow) and that's it. I think lamar clears the rest of the field

The Vikings have released Adam Thielen. They also are exploring trading Cooks so yeah seems like it's gonna be a fun offseason in Minnesota

Watch the Panthers take that dude from Florida #1. lol
Re Lamar: The Browns kind of f***ed negotiations up for everyone by giving sorry-assed Watson a totally guaranteed contract and that's part of what Lamar is dealing with.
