I think Edge prior to his heel turn in 2004. Yeah, I mean I can't believe how quick I turned on him, given he was one of my favorites before he left. But he returns with a more intense attitude, different tights, a cover up tattoo, different music and completely roided to the gills. He may as well have been a different wrestler entirely. They really should have called an audible and have him not beat Orton for the IC title. They ended a great reign and started a terrible one. There was a reason why people were calling him Garb-Edge during this time. Thankfully he was able to course correct in 2005, otherwise he was probably going to burn out. He got booed in his own hometown, as a face!

I'm gonna say Karrion Kross. Nobody cares about the guy then or now. I care, about his glorious, glorious hair. Or I'm jealous, either/or.

If I have the timing right, him returning instantly killed a lot of his popularity. He'd been the guy kicked out of WWE after someone was racist to HIM he was having a great run on the indies, almost had a folk hero thing going on. Then oh, back at the first opportunity... oh. So He's Mainstream (again) Now He Sucks? I did like meeting him and Scarlett on said indies though. I didn't know/forgot about the part of someone being racist to him. As far as anyone saying something racist to him, Alberto was the victim. Then later on we found out that ADR is a horrible human being.

He was fired after hitting someone that made a racist comment, basically to cover the WWE's ass from an unsafe work enviornment claim because the person that was hit was an actual employee of the company. So ADR was fired and was playing up his I was fired because I beat up a racist and having a decent run in the indies from what I remember... until he came back now more coked up then ever <_<

The Dudley Boys when they returned in 2015 got a god like pop and some god like hype... but it died pretty quickly after the nostalgia wore off, like... by the very next Smackdown it felt like.

It’s fairly recent but Bray’s comeback has had the biggest loss of patience I’ve ever seen 😂 Two members of the Wyatt Family returned under Triple H, in Braun and Bray. Bray's return had people excited, Braun's return didn't have people excited. But, Braun's return has been fantastic with some really good matches and his team with Ricochet, meanwhile Bray's return has suck-diddily-ucked.

As Karrion was mentioned in the post he replied to as well.

When Jericho first came back dressed as a disco hairdresser.
This was before he pivoted to SRS Jericho, I think.

Sid in WCW in 1999-2000s for me. He just talked and look like a goofball, ECW had it right with how they booked him. Whomever agented that match with his leg is a moron too

HHH when he returned in early 2002 briefly felt like the biggest babyface in the company (I still say his return pop has to be at least top 5 loudest ever). Then his feud with Jericho got overshadowed by Rock vs. Hogan. Then they turned Hogan face and HHH put him over. Then HBK made his big return and people wanted to cheer him more. All ingredients that led to the reign of terror.
I think if 2002 wasn't as stacked as it was big name wise, it could have lasted longer.

Some of it could have also been prevented if Triple H has been put on Raw instead of Smackdown to begin with, but yeah, the terrible Jericho feud and being eclipsed by Hogan both did him no favors.

He came back with none of the funness in his character. -His Rob Zombie music was gone -He stopped doing the comedy element, so his promos went from funny to bland -His voice changed due to the location of the surgery on his neck (combined with using PEDs, which he admitted to*) He just seemed like a completely different character as a whole *When you use testosterone recreationally it gives many of the same side effects as puberty, which is why so many guys in the 80's voice has the graspyness to it
