Roddy Piper assembling a “family” to take on the nWo. It was a Nitro in 1996 or 1997, when Roddy Piper said he was going to hold tryouts to find the right squad to take on the nWo. The live crowd justifiably thinks it’ll be active WCW wrestlers, but Piper invites down a group of absolute no-names and holds a variety of shoot wrestling and boxing matches with them as the crowd completely loses any and all interest over the next 20 or so minutes. The crowd was so over it that when they actually recognize one of the challengers - John Tenta - they go nuts for him like he’s Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VI. To make matters worse, Piper dropped the “family” angle within a week or two. So not only was it a waste of everyone’s time, it was a waste of everyone’s time that went nowhere. I have no idea how to say this without sounding like an ass, but the guys (Tenta aside) looked like random hobos Piper found an hour before the show at a rail yard. The next week, they had the Horsemen offer their help and Arn being polite and stopping just short of calling Piper's "family" a bunch of f***ing losers. It still took convincing for Piper to accept

Not only that but Bruce wanted Bret to get busted open even though WWE had become PG and didn't do blood. Didn't bruce also try to take liberties with Steve austin during the Canadian stampede 10 man tag? God that guy sucks As wrestling fans we all have our favourite wrestlers, favourite matches, favourite tag teams, favourite eras. There are bound to be disagreements and different opinions as a result, but it’s one of the great consistencies of wrestling that everybody shits on Bruce Hart.

10/14/10 It took 45 minutes to finally end This is the correct answer. If your storyline is so convoluted that it requires an almost hour long exposition dump, you did it wrong.

The Rock/Mankind "This is Your Life" does go on for too long, but there's at least some points of interest scattered in there. It is the equivalent of going through a mediocre trail mix to grab the M&Ms and trying to dodge the stale pretzels and undersalted nuts. The formation of Immortal is so much worse. It's longer, and it's just an absolute slog. The only funny thing about it is conceptually, that it exists. the worst part was basically was as soon as it was done. there was a 45 second match... and we went back to MORE exposition to make Immortal make any kind of sense.

It still took convincing for Piper to accept Roddy Piper was a brilliant pro wrestler and my favorite of all time. I miss him everyday. With that being said, Roddy could be up his own ass in stuff he thinks he could make work, and just couldn't. This was terrible. Tenta was fine, he got a pop, but everyone else was terrible and this was just Piper trying to get his buddies a payday.

Anything in TNA during the Bischoff/Hogan era. Remember just wanting to see the X-Div and Knockouts, and instead would get past their prime WWE guys doing the same basic Attitude Era segment fans were long since bored of.

We certainly didn't need the Little People's Court. What's worse was they replayed it later on in the show....IN IT'S ENTIRETY!!

Worse, it was a TWENTY second match, that ended in a f***ing Fingerpoke of Doom. In a two hour wrestling program with an overrun, there was exactly 15 minutes and 45 seconds of wrestling: Madison Rayne vs Tara in 20 seconds after Tara lays down for Madison, Samoa Joe vs Abyss ending in DQ at 2:18 after Abyss nailed Joe with a ring bell, Fortune and Douglas Williams (with Ric Flair and Matt Morgan in the corner) vs D'Angelo Dinero in 3:33 with Kaz getting the pinfall after a DWI, and the main event of Mr. Asshole vs RVD in 9:34, the bulk of which goes into ReACTION, ending in no-contest because Jeff Hardy attacks both men with a chair. There's a reason the 10-14-10 is usually marked as the moment TNA/Impact stopped being WWE's distinguished competition.

didn't TNA have another insanely long segment a couple years later? Where Dixie asked Sting to become the director of authority then Kurt Angle came out and bragged about beating Bobby Roode, and it led Angle vs James Storm?

HHH used to go on so long he almost took out a newspaper and started reading it like the Corey Hotline on 'The Simpsons'.

I might be misremembering this, but wasn't there a WCW PPV that ended with Roddy Piper returning and then cutting a promo on Hulk Hogan that went on for so long that the broadcast just ended before he finished?

Michael Cole vs Jerry Lawler at WrestleMania 27, especially the post match shenanigans with the anonymous GM overturning the match decision and the extra Austin nonsense.
