NWO Nitro was nothing more than an excuse to kiss Hogan's ass. It was so bad, RAW actually beat Nitro that hour in the ratings.

Not do much a segment but I think Hillbilly Jim's Hall of Fame speech is still going.

John Cena vs. Michael Cole went on entirely too long and considering it was John Cena beating and stripping a man half his size it felt less like a heel getting comeuppance and more like a live action version of the SNL Shazzang skit.

And it made their Be A Star Campaign look like a joke. It probably already was before that match.

I remember seeing clips of the nWo nitro and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. Until I went back and watched the whole show….oh man it just goes on and on and on.
Kid Rock at Mania XXV may be the worst though. So painful to watch. 10 minutes wasted that felt like 10 hours.

NWO Horsemen parody. There was a huge debate online whether it was funny or offensive, and when I finally saw it, the problem was with the pacing. At least DX Nation had Jason Sensation as Owen in it.

Any HHH promo during his reign of terror I came here to post this exact thing. In my opinion, WWE is abysmal now, but those Triple H promos were a special kind of torture. They wold go on and on and, ultimately, never meant anything other than to pat himself on the back.

I was binge watching 1991 WWF lately and there's The Funeral Parlor segment where The Undertaker stuffed The Ultimate Warrior in the casket, and it took WWF officials like 8 minutes or so to get him out of there. I didn't remember it being that long until I watched it.

Has anyone mentioned the weird Tomko beat down on Stevie Richards?
Just kinda came out nowhere, and the crowd started shitting on it almost instantly. Then it kept going, and going, and f***ing going.

I love the original DX as much as anyone, but sometimes they just let them go on and on

Also the Brother Love Show at Wrestlemania 5 with Roddy Piper and Morton Downey Jr., even Bruce said it was a slog to get through. It was so bad that they edited it down on the DVDs. Piper was one of my favorites as a kid, and going back and rewatching a lot of stuff he was a part of, and man is he just hard to watch. Along with Ted DiBiase, I would have just preferred if they just disappeared for good by the early 90's. They just added nothing to the product. Roddy Piper assembling a “family” to take on the nWo. It was a Nitro in 1996 or 1997, when Roddy Piper said he was going to hold tryouts to find the right squad to take on the nWo. The whole thing was stupid. Not only did Piper already say he wasn't there for WCW or the nWo, he had already beaten Hogan and said something along the lines he wasn't interested in the title. Hogan would end up cutting one of the most brutal promos burying the entire thing, and it was one of the few times where I think everyone agreed. NWO Horsemen parody. There was a huge debate online whether it was funny or offensive One of the biggest Meltzer overreactions ever. Everything Flair touched or was associated with was like the living gospel to Dave. It must have been true heresy to make fun of a retiring Arn Anderson. I'm not saying it was funny or anything, but it wasn't anything especially offensive in the land of wrestling. Meltzer also cried hysterically when Steiner ripped on Flair. Dave couldn't have his nose any deeper in the guy. John Cena vs. Michael Cole went on entirely too long and considering it was John Cena beating and stripping a man half his size it felt less like a heel getting comeuppance and more like a live action version of the SNL Shazzang skit. This is the kind of thing you do for the live crowd after the show goes off the air, playing to the crowd the entire time.

The "Rosie" vs "Trump" match. I was watching with my girlfriend at the time and she asked me "why do they do stuff like this?" It was one of those moments where you're embarrassed to be a fan.
The week Eddie's lawyer showed up on SD to speak to Rey during the custody of Dominic angle. I was in town visiting my parents watching this debacle. When it was mercifully over my mom asks me, "what did any of that have to do with wrestling?" I know in her head what she was really asking was "why are you 24 years old and still watching this shit?"

They only showed the full version I think the first time it happened and then showed clips later on to advance the feud

Has the Dino Bravo bench press segment from Rumble 88 been mentioned yet?

I remember always seeing the clip of the New Age Outlaws throwing Cactus and Funk off the stage in the dumpster, and thinking "wow what a crazy moment!"
Then the Network came out and I was able to watch some 1998 Raws, I found out how long that segment dragged on with the roster coming out along with the EMT's.
I like the idea of selling it as the Outlaws going way too far and it being a big deal, but good god it just kept going on and on.
