What segments on wrestling shows were way longer than they should've been(if they were necessary to begin with)?
Dino Bravo Setting a World Record for Bench Pressing - I initially thought it was him just bench pressing a set amount and be done with it, which would've been pointless to begin with, but when I saw the full segment, he just kept adding on weight. I think it went for about 10 minutes. It was played off that he was suppose to be this big heel because he lifted slightly less than he claimed, which I don't know we're suppose to hate him for it since he was still stronger than most of the roster at the time.
Plus, it's Dino Bravo who didn't have much of a personality to begin with. Jesse Ventura tried to make the segment more interesting, but it just fell flat. I remember somebody suggested to make it a contest by having a babyface such as Ken Patera or Don Muraco counter him to start a feud. It wouldn't have been the greatest, but at least it gives him something to do.
The Wrestlemania Replay Debate - This took place at Wrestlemania VII which feature Vince McMahon, former football player Paul Maguire, and owner of the New York Yankees George Steinbrenner talking about instant replays for 10 minutes. The only thing that was even close to chuckle worthy was when Maguire called him a butthead. All in all, it was a waste of time.
I also remember a segment at The 2012 Royal Rumble promoting The Rock/John Cena feud headed into Wrestlemania XXVIII that kept going on and on.
Any "wrestling" segments you can come up with that was needed?

The New Day "Old Day" segment, it felt like an eternity out there.

10/14/10 It took 45 minutes to finally end What was that about? The Impact after Bound for Glory 2010 with the forming of Immortal in the opening segment.

R-Truth turning on John Morrison. I was at that Raw and it felt like he was beating Morrison down for 30 minutes.

This is your life segment with the Rock and the newer version of that segment Oh my god, THANK YOU. I came in here specifically to say this. I have absolutely no idea why this shit is hailed as being so great. Mick Foley is my favorite wrestler of all time, and I consider the TIYL segments to be as bad or worse than the Cactus Jack amnesia angle.

The Brother Love Show from Summerslam 90 with Slaughter as a guest. Good Lord did that ever drag on. I feel bad for the crowd that had to sit there and let it happen to them.

Also the Brother Love Show at Wrestlemania 5 with Roddy Piper and Morton Downey Jr., even Bruce said it was a slog to get through.

Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 26. It should have been maximum 5 minutes of Bret kicking Vince's ass and then putting him in the Sharpshooter, but it turned into like 15 minutes/eternity of Bret sadistically torturing Vince.

The Rock/Mankind "This is Your Life" does go on for too long, but there's at least some points of interest scattered in there. It is the equivalent of going through a mediocre trail mix to grab the M&Ms and trying to dodge the stale pretzels and undersalted nuts.
The formation of Immortal is so much worse. It's longer, and it's just an absolute slog. The only funny thing about it is conceptually, that it exists.
There are probably about a dozen Triple H promos to open Raw that'd qualify, and a half-dozen ones from Seth. They did more than that, but I am being charitable and just talking about the lesser of their "20 minute promos because Vince didn't feel like putting any effort in this week" segments. I am not impatient, but no one has that long a promo in them that will be great. You might manage passable, but you will probably be boring.
Hint, promoters: "Hard Times" is a classic. Hard Times is like 3-4 minutes long, tops. This isn't entirely a coincidence. Less is more.

I am alright with the Hart family getting involved, but people really should have been firmer with them to not try to get all their shit in. It got negotiated DOWN to what we got. I'd just have told them, "You can get like, 2-3 hits in, then get out of the way, that way you all get your turn." 10ish minutes, still a little too long, but I get they wanted to make peace with Bret and part of that was writing some checks to his brood. Bret still had to tell some of them like Bruce to stop being selfish because it'd make things harder on Nattie and the others, and they acted completely dumbfounded why it'd reflect on them. Like, god, Bruce is dense.

Pretty much all of Triple H's reign of terror promos. Usually didn't start watching Raw until the quarter hour due to them.

Undertaker and his interminable story about taking Big Show to the desert. What was only about 4 minutes of promo time felt like hours, and somehow Jericho got heat for calling it boring in character.

What was only about 4 minutes of promo time felt like hours, and somehow Jericho got heat for calling it boring in character. Yeah, it was definitely a case where it made Undertaker mad because he knew Jericho was right and felt humiliated about it. Like I think of the Acclaimed's music video thing they did making fun of Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. Most of it was them dunking on Jeff, but one of the only things they made fun of Jay Lethal for was Black Machismo, and saying that Lethal's been wrestling for like 20 years but no one emulates him. That one line was so much more damning than the Jarrett stuff to me because, at least he can try to laugh off the Kurt or Global Force gold bars stuff, but "You're right, I have basically no legacy" is a lot more painful to cop to.

Why would anyone possible care? And yeah it went on forever. See also the pose down from the next year's Rumble with Rude & Warrior.

Mick Foley is my favorite wrestler of all time, and I consider the TIYL segments to be as bad or worse than the Cactus Jack amnesia angle. Shoot, back after it aired, Usenet was complaining about it. A LOT. I think the Russo backlash was beginning, and there was a segment of the IWC that was tired of Rock being catchphrase Mad Libs. Didn't help that the payoff was just Triple H attacking party favors. TBF, if the segment went the way it was supposed to, we might have fonder memories of it. (Foley wanted to turn heel based on Rumble '99)
