Insane match... it's incredible how it feels like they keep upping the ante for these and making them different
No one even got thrown off the roof, PAC technically dropped from it, but good god, what an absolute clusterf*** in the coolest way possible, with an absolutely fantastic ending setting up more major feuds and angles and the definitive end of another
I'm also glad it SEEMS no one got hurt too badly, because last years was rough with Santana and Mernard getting hurt mid match

Loved it, perfect cap to the angles weaved together heading into it as well as the right next chapter for the ones continuing. It was chaotic but not that wild in a scary way if that makes sense.
I would be down if every few years some of the big foundational starting feuds get checked in on/reignited in new ways with whoever's active because it's fun to pick up and see how everyone has grown and changed, and the callbacks and continuations to me make watching AEW from the start a treat. Like Omega/Moxley, Omega/PAC, Elite vs. themselves, BCC/Elite, and tons more feel like cornerstone storylines for the company.

You know a match is good when Kota Ibushi has the weakest performance in it.

Probably the most I’ve ever laughed in a live thread, I’ll tell you that much.

I just hate Claudio's music so, so much, so everything after his entrance was an improvement

You gotta hate Callis but man he gets it. On commentary he said a few different times about how brutal the match was and how awful it was and what are we watching here??, so it made perfect sense for him to grab his guy and be like nope we’re done let’s go. Stuff like that is good.

I said this in the live thread, but unsurprisingly, putting some of the best workers you have into a giant match will produce some f***ing unbelievable spots. Some of the best guys going in the industry were in that match but nobody in there was exactly a slouch. Amazing work.

Not as good as last years, but still up there in quality. That PAC double stomp was insane.

You know a match is good when Kota Ibushi has the weakest performance in it. Let me say my piece on this. Kota didn't need to do anything, because just him being their was enough for the crowd. The Golden Lovers spots were on the mark and he just added to the match by his presence. I know for you guys watching on TV, it may have been underwhelming, but the live crowd loved him. The match had everything it needed workrate and spot wise, Kota added the atmosphere.

I just thought it told a really clever story.
The BCC chose mercenaries to fill out their ranks but the Elite chose friends. The friends stuck together but the mercenaries bailed.
Mox bought in most of the weapons and intense violence and was happy to dish it out to the Elite. But when the Elite dished it out to Yuta, Mox stopped it. He'll wreck his opponents and himself, but not his young boy.
Plus, this may be one of the few times that a bump from the top of the cell was teased and wasn't delivered but nobody seems pissed about it. Matt Jackson making it rain thumbtacks was inventive enough that the lack of a cell bump didn't matter and Yuta still died anyway.

I couldn't tell what happened since I was trying to watch so many things at once, I assumed Wheeler quit, which was confusing since Knox was on the opposite side of the ring lol

I guess I'm in the extreme minority.... I thought it was meh. I feel like its the same stuff we've seen previously. It wasn't bad, but I don't think it was great either. Just my opinion though. I thought Kota looked really off... but I think maybe his injuries and all that's been going on led to him being a bit "rusty".

It wasn't clearly shown on camera though.

Probably the most I’ve ever laughed in a live thread, I’ll tell you that much. My favorit bit was shitting on yuta. Yuta bringing a chair and everyone: "THAT LITTLE SHITHEAD IS SO STUPID WITH HIS CHAIR" Takeshita Brings Another Chair "YEH TAKESHITA WITH THE CHAIR, f***ING GO"

I thought Kota looked really off... but I think maybe his injuries and all that's been going on led to him being a bit "rusty". Same. Clearly can recall enjoying past B&G matches way more. I personally love them elite boys. Great to watch them in the ring, as always but I was just so bored. For me, I think it’s just I do not care about BCC. Couldn’t care less. Even Mox’s violence stuff is getting past stale for me. But I also totally chalk it up to i may just be getting old.
