Certainly feels more like it was a work after last night, either that or they've been convinced to work together since the Twitter exchanges, which feels less likely but possible I guess.
I was impressed by Santana last night, much more than I thought I'd be, so I'm interested to see where they go with this.

Yeah, I normally try not to chime in on “work vs shoot” conversations, but this one I thought was pretty clearly a work the entire time. The Twitter beef was based on an on-screen promo from the beginning.

Only nitpick is Santana should try a different finisher.

Yeah I'm leaning to the Twitter beef being a work now.
I actually really liked Mike's solo debut last night. Call me a Fantana.

If either of them are serious about being singles wrestlers then they really have to go through with this match first, otherwise it's always going to be hanging over them. Whether they've reconciled as friends or are just willing to work together is none of our business but I'm glad it's happened, either way.

I hate promoters booking people who actually have heat against each other. It's just asking for accidents to happen

Whatever happened to Santana and Ortiz? The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV? Yeah. I still hear this in my head whenever I browse the AEW section, and it makes me laugh every single time.

I hate promoters booking people who actually have heat against each other. It's just asking for accidents to happen Same the vast majority of the time, though this is one where I at least figure the intent is to get people to stop prodding about it and for the two to hopefully get to work through it and to move on, hopefully while getting to establish their individual personalities more as singles guys. At least, I don't anticipate it going like Del Rio repeatedly beating the shit out of the first Sin Cara and WWE deciding, "No, this is good, run this match like 12 more times." After Sadie Gibbs and Bea Priestly stiffed each other in the ring and got physical backstage, I want to say AEW didn't have them in the same ring together after that.

Mike Santana wants to get to another level, he wouldn't really be able to do it without having this feud imo. It has the most heat to it, it has something the fans are interested in, and likely, Santana wins it and then goes up the card while Ortiz recalibrates As Santana said, they know it's good business so they're going to do it. I'd rather that happen than there be some animosity forever, as he even said it's something they wanted to work out personally, too.

For what it’s worth Sadie Gibbs only had 2 matches in AEW after her debut in the battle Royal. So it’s not like there was really a chance to have them work again.

Yeah, Sadie didn't get many matches, but if they'd wanted to try to milk it for drama, they could have booked her more. Them refraining from doing that was the prudent choice, of course.

I did not watch Rampage so apologizes for missing this but the promo from Ortiz on Santana was fire. Looks like we are all in on turning this real feud into an on screen one.

This can low-key be a really good feud. And if it allows Santana and Ortiz to have some personal and professional closure, that's even better.

Alright Santana, you'd better have a really good response, because the guy who you apparently got upset at for "being willing to settle" just torched you.

I had no idea Ortiz had a promo of that quality in him.
