CM Punk was still coming out to "This Fire Burns" and wearing Nexus bands along with their colors in the weeks leading up to and night of "Money in the Bank".
Even his entrance had "New Nexus" under his name.
When he returned a few weeks later he came out to "Cult of Personality" and had shifted his color scheme from Black and Yellow to White and Red with Black trim.

The yellow and black lightning bolt was still on the tron for Money in the Bank, but I don't think the Nexus Logo ever shows up except when you see it on Punk's arm. He also started wearing the White Red and Black that night as it was based off that best in the world shirt.

Punk evolved from the cult leader of Nexus and previously his own with Serena Deeb and Luke Gallows to being a lone wolf World Champion, the best at what he does.

As for the One Man Gang with hair picture, are you sure it wasnt from his 1991 WCW stint (where he wrestled with a full head of hair)?

The period just before Sting went into Crow mode where his hair was longer and not dyed. I remember idly looking in to this a few years back. Sting stops bleaching his hair around the start of October '95. The darker roots gradually begin growing through, the platinum blond recedes, and by early '96 he starts letting it grow out as well. Real serendipity with the whole Crow angle. He could've still done that deal, but would've been a longer break after Fall Brawl '96 to do so. Though, now I'm picturing no Sting at all for a few months before he suddenly appears for the first time in that attack at the end of Uncensored '97, and that would've been pretty awesome itself.

When Alex Wright first came out in his Berlyn gear....they still called him Wright and all. Then Columbine happened, and after that blew over they tried for the full reboot of the character, complete with new name.
When they took off the "Big" from Bossman's name in 2002...he had a brief period when he dressed like Big Bubba again. Then he just went back to the SWAT gear.
The Ringmaster was one big transitional phase.
Triple H still being bluebloodish when he first joined what would be DX.

I think it was WWF Magazine or a WWF program that had a picture of Gang in mid 1988 with hair. He was wrestling Junkyard Dog in August 1988. He was growing the hair out to become Akeem and it was about what it was when he started as Akeem-not thick but it covered up his tattoos. I think the write up maybe even mentioned him and a new look with the hair growing out.

Early Macho King wore short purple tights briefly before transitioning to the long Trapper Keeper tights and eventually the jackets and cowboy hats. Yes I remember his toy having purple tights.

The Ringmaster was one big transitional phase. Triple H still being bluebloodish when he first joined what would be DX. Its very weird watching the opening segment of the October 6, 1997 Raw with Triple H and Shawn Michaels doing their DX schtick and being immature a-holes and then when Triple H comes out against Bret in the Main Event, he's coming out to "Ode to Joy" complete with the green robe and snobbish walk, although he gives a girl in the crowd a crotch chop on his way to the ring. Mind you, this was 2 months after him and Shawn started teaming up. The Ringmaster was the evolution from Austin's ECW character to his WWF character. DiBiase allowed him to make it big but he knew he needed to lose Ted to go even further.

And it was a good look. Yes I think the Trapper Keeper outfits (LOL) are when he jumped the shark, IMO. And this is a rarely seen variant, if you could see his trunks. The cross line pattern up front, and "Macho King" had a crown over it on back. Think you only saw this at Survivor Series and No Holds Barred.

When Al Snow went to ECW in 1997, he still had the Leif Cassidy tights for a time before switching to the black and blue singlet.

Certain shows too. I just watched OSW's SummerSlam '88 video, and it's odd to still see Junkyard Dog and the British Bulldogs on the show. They'd leave soon after, so it was like seeing 1986 seep out of a changing WWF.

it used to be my PFP on here for so long but Razor originally was slated to have full tights. The character drawings from creative even show this.

When the Fabulous Rougeaus went from trunks to long tights briefly....then to the shorts version of said long tights that most of us remember.

Then Columbine happened, and after that blew over they tried for the full reboot of the character, complete with new name. I can elaborate on the first part: Zbyzsco outed him as Wright. Tony and Heenan were playing up "who's that?" as he was sitting in the crowd and Larry said "That's Alex Wright. We all know its Alex Wright"
