Him pointing at Roman was such a cool moment.

Can we talk about how beat the f*** out SmackDown was? The highest placing SmackDown star was Jimmy Uso who came in 19th place.

That pyro for a middle of the pack Rumble entrance means that he's a delusional heel who thinks he's a face, right?

Cody Rhodes is winning at WrestleMania and we’re about to get clubbed over the head with it until then. When he does, it’ll be a big moment and hopefully they know what’s next, cause I kinda feel it could fall pretty flat.

Jimmy, Waller, Escobar, Kross, Carlito, Lashley and Theory, who was the last SmackDown entrant at #13. Not even halfway! Like, I'd heard they were worried crowds would turn on the match if Knight and/or Orton and/or Styles were in it and didn't win... Maybe if they were in it, they'd turn on FOR the match.

In order to prevent interference one last time.
Nick Aldis agrees to make Rock special guest ref at Wrestlemania.
Cody vs. Roman w/ref as Rock.
I think this is how all the teases playoff.
And finally someone fends off the bloodline interference once and for all.

Have Cody challenge at EC so Rock can get the WM match and Roman can get to SummerSlam or Saudi or something. Cody's missing that something now. A climb back up, a major set back, an obstacle that haunted him, something that makes this time mean more. Too much holding pattern and it hurt him, imo.

Have a few good defenses and then drop it by the fall of 2024.

This second shot is meant to have been all that because of the first loss. People were already giving up on him after that, it was only through some kind of unforeseen miracle that crowds stuck with him and he was still over enough to warrant getting to here. They were already playing with fire, delaying all of it to a third match would be like taking a flamethrower and saying "In the face, please".

But seriously tho: exactly WHY did people think the rock was gonna be in the rumble? Nothing ever indicated it was even a possibility and I know for damn sure it couldn't have been that retracted sports illustrated story

I guess but it's not like he took a step back or even had to earn a spot in the Rumble. It was like "Well I'm on Raw and don't want Seth's belt so I'll just kill time until the Rumble so I can jump to Roman." It's like only the backstage stuff with Punk's return and Rock's teasing of the fans has been the only real doubt thrown in.

Seems odd to have him call out Roman if they're not capitalizing on it any time soon.

Have a few good defenses and then drop it by the fall of 2024. I imagine his first feud will be with Gunther, which should keep him hot enough. Meanwhile, I'll check out Raw to see where Punk is going, but I'm more tuned out now. Was never a Cody fan, I don't get it. So I'm not wasting the next 70 days watching to see what I know is coming. I enjoy Roman, I was pretty sure he was losing last year, so I got an extra year, not bad. I thought the end of this story would be a little more grand than what it's going to be, so I personally am disappointed. But a Cody lead WWE isn't something I am interested in.

With all of the Rock rumors, I was glad that Cody is getting his main event again. Not sure how Rock will play into it. The men's rumble I feel was extremely boring. I think it was literally just a vehicle to get to Cody/Punk at the end.

They could easily have Rock come out to fend off Jimmy and Solo at WM, and give Cody a clear shot at winning. Maybe even raise his hand after the match.

Mostly because of that promo he cut the other week. Seems odd to have him call out Roman if they're not capitalizing on it any time soon. "You see, when I meant sitting at the head of the table, I meant the one in the boardroom at TKO headquarters". The allure of Rock v. Roman is diminishing with each passing day and that's for the people who wanted it in the first place. If it serves as the retirement match of each, I guess fair play, but if they're not doing a Roman has gone mad with power, Bloodline is splintering, Rock puts down the Tribal Chief, I've lost most of my interest. As much as I like Roman, his name value isn't the same as the Rock's to make it a dream match with zero stakes other than a meaningless "Head of the Table" slogan attached.
