It was still way better then 2009-2010 Skinny Gaston Drew McIntyre. It's really amazing to me how good he eventually became as he was so terrible during that push.

Never saw him anywhere else, but this is his career best work in the WWE for sure.

I'm so happy he's finally getting to show more and more of the swag he showed 18 freaking years ago.
And the best bit is you sort of still root for him despite it. Heels with a justification are compelling because they're characters you desperately want to turn face, but just can't shake their dickery. And Drew was a straightforward, honest, tough guy face. He beat Brock, Goldberg, he was the first top big bash bro babyface in a long time. And he got his moment robbed from him twice despite doing everything right.
I know the momentum is more behind Cody but the more I think about it, the more I actually want Drew to beat Roman. Or a Drew/Cody/Roman triple threat. Basically anything but Rock/Roman...

I don’t watch Raw but I’ve hunted his stuff down these past two weeks because he’s incredible in this role. Yeah, give him the WHC shot, he’s earned it.

He'll never have the lighting in a bottle momentum of early 2020 but this is definitely my favorite version of him character-wise.

If he hasn't signed a new deal though and is potentially leaving after Mania then it's weird he's going so hard at Punk seemingly building a match that probably wouldn't be able to take place until Summerslam or so.

He got f***ed so badly by COVID. I was at a house show and Raw on back to back nights in Feb 2020 and that dude was OVER. You could tell he was just on the verge of full blown superstardom and then he won the title at an empty WrestleMania

Drew eliminating Brock from the Rumble and staring him down is iegit one of the most badass babyface moments of all time IMO. So I'm glad he at least had a crowd for that.

For some reason, I was thinking it would be great if Cody’s cutting promo about finishing the story and then you hear “AMMMMMERRRRRR-ICAAAAAANNNN……DREAAAAAAMMMMM (cowbell intensifies) and Drew comes out dancing like Dusty.

I just find the image of Drew getting funky like a monkey in order to make Cody feel bad hilarious.
