I'm not actually watching and I saw this pop up. I assume we're getting a Family Tree Ladder Match: I'm sorry, the only thing I am taking from any of this is the fact that Solo's middle name is Yokozuna. I mean, I get it, but it feels like if you named your kid Dave Quarterback Smith.

Roman already feels second fiddle to Rock especially after tonight. Hell the backstage bit they had is just Roman trailing behind like he was Jey Uso while Rock is cussin and having at go at HHH. This I feel like is totally on purpose. Rock may be an asswipe and try to keep Cody down but that doesn’t mean he’s not considering taking over the head of the table. All leads to Cody winning and Roman eventually turning face saying hey what the f*** Rock, I’m Roman Reigns I don’t back down or take second place to nobody.

I find Dave Meltzer to be fairly credible, but his Twitter is something else right now. That man's social media strategy is a choice.

Night One: Roman and Rock v Seth and Cody Night 2: Cody v Roman I feel like your night 1 match is going to be the main event in Perth. That's why they did what they did at the press conference (regardless of sticking to the plan or a pivot) tonight and not on a smackdown.

The easy way to facilitate Roman's turn is to have the Rock get the Bloodline to beat his ass in a mob-style hit.

Hell of a good idea as long as they have it brutal enough to sell him being gone for a long time.

Hell of a good idea as long as they have it brutal enough to sell him being gone for a long time. The Bloodline has always had this mafioso sort of undertone to it, so the visual of Roman basically being executed for his failures would be the best way to present it. And I like the idea that Roman has been such a dick to everyone, nobody is gonna rush to make the save for him (unless you want Cody to do it as a way to help further the face turn).

They’re gonna have to be careful in all of this to not have Rock make Roamn look second fiddle. Good thing The Rock is super careful about making everyone else look second fiddle to him... Rock put over Hurricane Helms. I think he's shown a willingness to put give people shine.

This dude was ready to kick Cody Rhodes and a two year story build to the side to main event Mania himself for the soul purpose of getting himself over and being the star Forgive me if an example from TWENTY YEARS AGO does not reflect current day and the most recent example of The Rock being a selfish, pompous asshole, literally lass than a week ago.

Rock put over Hurricane Helms. I think he's shown a willingness to put give people shine. You're citing something he did 21 years ago... It happened, so yes. To reiterate, I'm not convinced that Rock ever replaced Cody in the main event. I know I read at least one report online this week about how highly Rock thinks of Cody and he wanted to see him put over big time. I also read that Rock thought WWE dropped the ball with Daniel Bryan after he won at WM30 and he wanted to do this even bigger and solidify Cody as the guy. This could all be bullshit but it makes as much sense as WWE legit completely changing creative directions for the Wrestlemania main event three times in 10 days with all of the changes actually being televised.

You're citing something he did 21 years ago... It happened, so yes. That's a lifetime ago in career spaces and not even indicative of things he did in wrestling after his proper run ended. He was a middle of the road action star when he took his extended break and returned as one of the biggest names in Hollywood. What did he do upon that return? Exclusively work with the top guy. Bad faith argument. No point in continuing.

As an aside, this speaks insane volumes of just how over Cody is as a face that he convincingly had the The Rock turn heel in 2024 where the crowd absolutely hate The Freaking Rock

And if this was the plan all along? As I've said, I don't care one way or another as long as the show entertains me, but it just seems very possible that Cody was never out of the main event at all. This was never the plan. Cody literally said on Friday "I will fight you, but not at Mania", he passed the torch to The Rock and walked away, dejected and depressed. He was written out of the Main Event then and there. A week of total rejection by the fans caused them to pivot away from The Rock thinking he was "Saving Mania" If you don't care as long as it's entertaining, fine, but they're not getting away with this in plenty of fans eyes for doing the bare minimum of doing what they were SUPPOSED to do in the first place. The fact we even had to deal with this shit for a week is ridiculous and Rock's a f***ing asshole, but he's been an asshole for awhile now, head up his own ass, smelling his own rosey farts.

Here's the thing. Hollywood Rock is a much better, more beliveable angle than 'Bloodline Rock' losing his shit because Cody Rhodes called the Samoans dorks. I'm sure Dwayne Johnson cares very much about his family. The Rock as we knew him in WWF wouldn't give a shit unless he was using them as stooges, so I sincerely hope there's still a Rock vs Roman element to the story and it isn't a f***ing tag match.

Here's the thing. Hollywood Rock is a much better, more beliveable angle than 'Bloodline Rock' losing his shit because Cody Rhodes called the Samoans dorks. Cody didn't even do that. He was totally respectful like and was all, "Listen, as the son of the ultimate babyface, I am hereby telling you, Roman, that your grandpa and his grandpa would probably think you're being a bit of a penis." And suddenly Rock was all, "That's the top two GILFs you're talking about so now I gotta physically assault you in front of this camera."
