The 'American Pie' straight to DVD sequels had Eugene Levy (and a few other tertiary characters). In retrospect, it's a bid weird as Eugene has had the most successful career after those movies concluded. Hell, he had a more successful career before those movies started too. For how popular the American Pie series was, no one really became a mega star from them. Sean William Scott did some cult classic films and Tara Reid was fairly popular for a hot minute, but that's really it Sean William Scott was a fairly big name in the early 2000s--Final Destination, Dude Where's My Car, Road Trip, Evolution, Dukes of Hazard. They were all pretty successful movies. John Cho went on to be fairly successful too--surprisingly, since his role in American Pie was basically to just say "milf" a few times. Not a megastar, but a recognisable name and he usually gives a solid performance. Jennifer Coolidge has had a good career since American Pie.

Jingle All the Way getting a sequel 18 years after the fact that had Larry the Cable Guy, Brian Stepanek, and Santino Marella playing the Arnold Schwarzenegger, Phil Hartman, and Sinbad roles is the craziest one I can think of off the top of my head. I really like the first Jingle, I guess it has nostalgia since I saw it in theaters. I don't care for any action Arnold does but his comedy, I will always watch. I did see Jingle 2, at least half of it before having to leave home for the day. I thought it was pretty funny and Larry really does come off like a family member you would have that waits til the last minute to shop for the hottest toy. I had to check wikipedia for what happened at the end and it seems like a sweet ending. The worst one of these I’ve seen was the WWE produced Leprechaun film…until I watched Showgirls 2: Penny’s from Heaven. I actually watched the WWE Leprechaun film more than once. That’s the reason I have to admit Showgirls 2 is worse. I’m sure there are some set of circumstances where I would watch it again…but I’m having a hard time coming up with them. I can only recommend Showgirls 2 if you’re like me and seek out the truly worst stuff around. I’m not talking fun bad movies, like the original Showgirls. I’m talking movies that make you wish the process of filmmaking was never conceived. I got a Leprechaun DVD set of all the films. The first three I saw years ago and liked. But the fourth one, I think "In Space" was so horrible just in the first 15 minutes and I just stopped and didn't watch any others. Jingle All The Way 1 is my favorite Christmas movie, just for nostalgic reasons. I know it’s kind of a “bad” movie, but it takes me back to being a kid in 1997 excited to get all of the Power Ranger: The Movie figures on Christmas morning.

the Tremors franchise became the Burt Gummer experience from the 2nd movie onwards, I like the character and the actor but the series did become "Burt has problem, Burt fixes it." Timecop had a sequel & tv series. R.I.P.D. got a sequel/prequel. 30 days of night got a sequel. 30 Days got two prequel miniseries too. But my choice is the Anaconda series and Lake Placid series

Was reading an article www.cracked.com/article_41061_straight-to-video-comedies-that-took-us-straight-to-hell.htmlAnd I laughed at you could build a whole sub genre of either Franchises that don’t use the original actor Or Famous actors who had a bunch of sequels to their hit movies replaced by less famous or unknown actors Usually straight to video but sometimes they’ll try to make another blockbuster The American pie movies after 4. Sequels to Jim Carey movies without Carrey. Home alone 2-5 The marine 2-6 The kickboxer 2-5 There was a problem child 3 Would you count predator series? No Arnold but were honest attempts at a big Hollywood movie. Same with terminator after 3. Not just Kickboxer, Bloodsport also got sequels. I think the dude that played Ray Jackson appeared in a sequel.

Not that I’m acknowledging they exist, but let’s just say Slap Shot 2 and Slap Shot 3….there’s a huge, huge chasm between Paul Newman and Stephan Baldwin and “Just make sure the cheque clears Leslie Neilson”. The Hansons had bit parts in the sequels, but….sigh. Slightly off topic, but there was a dude who lived here in my bumf*** hometown who was in Slap Shot. He was just a background player, got the gig because he was playing IHL or AHL at the time, but there are autographed pictures of him with the Hanson's and him with Gordie Howe and Lanny McDonald hanging up at the bar here. Unfortunately, Terry passed about 10 years ago. Nice guy EDIT: Google tells me he was playing in the now defunct EHL for the Syracuse Blazers when he got the Slap Shot gig.
I'm suddenly reminded of a lady who will sometimes have a booth as a guest at a local comic book convention where I live. Her biggest claims to fame are that she was in one of the Thor sequels and an episode of The Walking Dead. However, she was a very minor extra in them; she was very briefly a zombie in the middle of a group of them in that Walking Dead episode, and you can kinda sorta barely see her over Chris Hemsworth's shoulder for two seconds if you squint hard enough during that Thor movie.

After being in more than 200 episodes of "How I Met Your Mother", she was the host on "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" for 7 seasons. She also firmly in the "work is less important to me than raising my family" category of actors. Good for her! Y'know what? (what?!) Anyone in this position deserves praise. Sir Michael Caine said it best: "I have never seen it (Jaws 4) but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built and it is terrific."

I honestly think Euro Trip is a way better movie then Road Trip, although I'm a sucker for Michelle Trachtenberg. Not nearly enough people have seen those movies. He’s God I love Goon. I was nearly an extra in that movie, but I couldn't get the time off work. Or maybe that was the Don Cherry movie. Both filmed some hockey scenes at the Keystone Centre in Brandon and I applied and was accepted to be an extra but stupid work didn't consider that a valid excuse to miss a day or two. Would've made more money for being an extra then I was getting paid at the time too

The Sandlot sequels. Although the 2nd one(more or less a remake) has James Earl Jones reprising his role and the 3rd one has grown up Squints.
