I'm always on the look out for oddball films. I know some of yall watch crazy stuff.
Few from me
Max Magician and Legend of the Ring-Harry Potter/LOTR rip off from the early 2000s. Low budget and just dumb. Shot mostly at a ren faire. With weapons made out of pool noodles, ducttape and sharpies. I am sure this has been covered by the various BAD MOVIE reviewers on YT. No clue how hard teh DVD is to find now. When I got my copy it was all over the cheap bins.
Space Thunder Kids-Korean made ripoff of various 70s nad early 80s anime. Redubbed and cut by Godfrey Ho,yes that Ho,and distributed in the states 16 years ago on Dollar DVDs. There is a pile of these IIRC this one has a few scenes where it becomes a TRON ripoff.

"The Johnsons" (aka. Der Johnsons), Dutch horror movie from the early 90's. Mother and teen daughter are being chased by septuplet psycho mass-murdering brothers while police and college professor try to unravel mystery involving ancient tribal rituals.
I saw this by accident. I worked in a video store for a good 10 years, and this movie was mixed in with our Western section (because the cover of it was brown and the people on the front looked vaguely tribal). Someone rented it and complained when he returned it. So I put it aside and I started playing it at work.
This is how it opens...
Credits have a voice-over describing a researcher visiting a tribe in an unspecified jungle.
Cut to hospital operating room, teams of doctors help woman give birth to septuplets, all boys. Operation is a success, congrats all around, and the lead doctor leaves. Gets into his car and drives out of the city, middle of the night, down the dark highway, turns off onto dirt roads, stops at the edge of a lake. Gets out of the car, strips naked, smears mud all over himself, and slowly walks into the lake, praying. And something big rises out of the lake. Something big, with big eyes.
I shut the movie off and took it home to see the rest. Great fun, interesting characters (especially the college professor's father), and cool story.

Deadlock
There are tons of movies like as the initial plot is very typical but I have never seen this ever mentioned.

That is one I caught years ago late at night on Showtime, and haven't thought about in at least 20 years.

It actually always surprises me when I post about a super obscure movie in the "Track the Movies You Watched" thread and other posters recognize them.
Probably the most recent movie I've seen that would fit this description is Elfette Saves Christmas. After a tech company hires mobsters to kidnap Santa, it's up to a lone female elf, Elfette (who was on vacation in Florida when this happened) to rescue him and save Christmas. It has its issues. Its amateurish and slow at times, but the actors are (mostly) putting real effort into their parts and it surprisingly gets the most out of its obviously ultra low-budget and limited special effects abilities.
House 2: The Second Story is a surprisingly fun horror-comedy featuring a memorable appearance from Cheers' John Ratzenberger.
Evil Toons is another horror-comedy from the 90's about a group of attractive college girls trapped in a haunted house being tormented by a weird cartoon ghost. It's stupid, but entertainingly stupid (at times anyways). Warning, there are a lot of naked boobies in this.
The Midnight Hour is an obscure 80's TV movie about a group of teens dealing with a zombie attack in their small town at Halloween. It's mostly forgettable, but if you ever wanted to see a nearly thirty year old LeVar Burton playing a horny teenage boy, then this is the movie for you.
Reptilicus is a fairly standard 60's kaiju movie, except for the fact that it was produced and set in Denmark, which makes it a pretty unique entry for the genre.
Did you know the original The Fast and the Furious came out in 1954 and was written and produced by Roger Corman? It's not very good, but as an historical oddity it's a must watch.
2012's The Ghastly Love of Johnny X is a send-up to old 50's alien invasion and greaser movies. It was only released in two theaters in Texas and grossed $86 in its opening weekend. I was iffy on it (honestly I feel the story falls apart in the second half), but I can see fans of those genres really digging it.
Visitant is a weird low-budget 80's alien invasion movie about an alien couple trying to track down a high school student who stole their ray gun before the invasion begins.
I've seen more but I can't remember them at the moment. Maybe I'll update this post if I think of any.

My main pick for a thread like this is "Survive the Night," a 1993 TV movie that is like "Judgment Night," which came out the same year. How I discovered the existence of this film was back in 2011 when I read a thread on IMDB for "Judgment Night" and this film was mentioned. I looked it up and found out that it was out on DVD. I bought it sometime after, but I feel like the copy was on clearance because I bought it for cheap at the time, and other places had it up for more than the price I paid.
Anyway, this was a TV movie that aired on USA at the start of 1993. It stars Stefanie Powers, Kathleen Robertson, and Helen Shaver. It was basically a female version of "Judgment Night" and there were some similarities in not just the atmosphere and story, but some scenes were similar that I wonder if someone gave an idea for the script of this film. I couldn't tell you which was filmed first because this film aired in January of 1993, while Judgment Night was released in October of that same year. I had read an article that said that Judgment Night was delayed a few times.
As for the DVD, it is going for a lot online these days. However, some websites have sold DVD-R versions of it for much cheaper. I suppose I got lucky when I bought my copy back in 2011.
One more thing - this film was plugged on the May 2, 1994 episode of Raw. This was when USA still aired TV movies, so I could see if the commentators advertised some other programming and movies that would air later that week.

Got the DVD of this one a long time ago, when I was first trying to get into more international horror. Another one I haven't seen in a long time, but I do still have it, so I can give it a re-watch one of these days.

Probably "Momentum" from 2003. It was a TV pilot that didn't get contracted for a full season so they turned it into a movie. It has Teri Hatcher, Louis Gossett Jr. and a handful of other people in it. I think I have it on DVD somewhere, it was really random. The one time I mentioned it, someone thought I meant Memento lol

Somewhere in the collection is the Marvel published Comic book based on it. Evil ToonS!!!! Happened to rent it on VHS when it had just came out. Made a copy and that copy got watched a pile. Just dumb fun. Got the special edition DVD got the Blu Ray. And even managed interview, for my now lost podcast, the brunette lady, madison stone, who was the first girl to get possessed. And the Midnight Hour. Never even heard of it until early 2000s a friend had the now HTF Anchor Bay DVD. Fun tv movie that has built a decent cult following. IIRC you are the only other person I have met that has seen Radio Rebel. The Disney CHannel movie that is Pump Up the Volume but for tweens.

Tried watching Evil Toons once and it was so dumb I just couldn't... no matter how many boobs there were... maybe I'll have to try again, my standards have lowered since then. Pretty sure I have a copy of Midnight Hour somewhere... that was made for TV, wasn't it?

IIRC you are the only other person I have met that has seen Radio Rebel. The Disney CHannel movie that is Pump Up the Volume but for tweens. Yes, I caught it on Peacock a few years back. Still not sure how a Disney Channel Original Movie turned up on an NBCUniversal streaming service, but it's still there for anybody who wants to watch. Honestly it was one of the more uninteresting DCOM's I've seen. Not necessarily the worst, but just so obvious and formulaic.
