Going to the blue show on Friday at Mohegan Sun. Wish they’d have Rock beat up Dusty JR. in the casino.

I hope we don't open Raw with a Cody promo next week after this. I don't want him seen until the very end of the show. Have Roman and Rock gloating that Cody is weak and not even in the building then he pops up for a huge brawl as the show goes off the air.
Kinda similar to 10 years ago actually. HHH did the big beatdown on Bryan 2 weeks before then the go-home show was a crazed Bryan returning at the end and fighting them off as they ran for their lives.
I kinda think that is a more hype way of heading into the PPV than the traditional/generic heel stands tall on the final show to build heat.

Wouldn’t even need to have Cody and/or Seth standing tall to end next week. Even the TV show part going off the air on a massive pull apart brawl with no clear winner (and Cody/Seth “winning” the brawl on the post-show segment for the live crowd) would be nice.

The Rock like “screw your PG crap. Blood and swearing is gonna make this feud feel so much cooler.”
And he ain’t wrong.

Triple H: "There, you got to blade. Now stop asking me to let you light yourself on fire." Cody: Can Arn Anderson shoot Jimmy Uso? Triple H: ..maybe.

Seriously, who had The Rock becoming a psychopathic heel in 2024. 😂

Roman Reigns feels like the side chick to his own f***ing years long built feud lmfao This is what I call the “Dwayne Johnson Problem”. Rock is such a huge star that he easily outshines the longest reigning champion in decades. Roman is definitely third place in this feud, with only Seth behind him. With that being said, this WrestleMania build has been epic!!!

That was incredible. Rock has knocked it out of the park. Cody/Rock feels like the biggest feud/story going into Wrestlemania. As predicted, the Bloodline stuff is tired and should've been finished last year, now its been overshadowed by two massive stars.

If nothing else at least Roman's likely to benefit from the Sasha and Bianca effect where if the match delivers what people want from it then him being such a non-presence leading up to it will probably be effectively forgotten about anyway.

That is fair, actually. 85% of the time, a nonsensical build is forgotten about if the match delivers and no real reason it can't unless they really f*** it up at the end (which, look, I know new people in charge but as long as a lot of the same heads are floating in there, no ruling out anything for me). Like, HHH/Orton is the biggest notable exception I can think of but that was a great build that they shot in the foot on the go-home show and placed in the death slot of "After Michaels/Taker". EDIT: Oh, Orton/Bray could be argued. Great build, no idea what the hell they were going for in the actual match.

Roman Reigns feels like the side chick to his own f***ing years long built feud lmfao It's both sad and hilarious how much Rock has taken this over, the very thing everyone was afraid of when he got a TKO seat and while the quality has been good, he has completely hip checked Roman out of the feuds spotlight... But at what point, do you just have to tip your hat to the Rock for just being that good? I did tip my hat to The Rock for a good program At the same time, Roman is a complete afterthought when he's supposed to be the real endgame It's just kind of a shame that what should feel like the actual end goal after two years feels secondary to something that just started like a month and a half ago, yes that shows how good The Rock is, but it also shows how dismal WWE's long term booking with Roman has been too.

I mean I totally understand your point, it's just that The Rock is too good to just be there. And imo, having him in the mix as a heel makes it a lot more interesting than just "Cody/Roman the rematch." And even though the Rock has taken a lot of the spotlight, I still feel Roman is endgame. Cody's friends won't come out during night one to beat the rock. They're coming out for night 2 to end Roman. Cody's "story' is beating Roman for the belt.

Like, if discussion was as fervent then as it is now, you’d have people saying the feud was ruined at her inclusion. In hindsight, it’s barely remembered.

It just so happens beating Roman for the belt now involves laying a whooping on the Rock if need be.

I mean, with that, they pivoted and pivoted hard in the last couple of shows. There are way more major WrestleMania feuds where that didn't happen.

Segment was f***ing great, that was an epic beatdown and made Rocky look like the biggest piece of shit. And you still have 3 huge matches coming out of Mania with Cody/Rock, Cody/Roman III and the inevitable Rock/Roman.
I’ve been absolutely loving this feud, and yes Roman is looking like the side chick but that’s pretty intentional. Did they not do an entire SmackDown segment explicitly showing you that Roman is leery of Rock trying to overshadow him? Did I imagine a segment where Roman leaned on the ropes and rolled his eyes while Rock did his thing and then Roman demanded Rock acknowledge him?
