Hey if almost year long world champ and decade long main eventer Seth going into Bitchalla is the payoff for Cody winning the title, it’s well worth it lol. I think Seth will end up fine Dude’s got a case for getting into actual Valhalla (not Sarah Logan) after one of the most selfless WrestleMania weekends anyone’s ever had.

I think Seth will end up fine Dude’s got a case for getting into actual Valhalla (not Sarah Logan) after one of the most selfless WrestleMania weekends anyone’s ever had. It's probably my favourite part about how this weekend went. Seth went from being desperate enough for his own big moment this year to beg Cody to challenge him for his title at Wrestlemania to letting go of everything and being the reason that Cody was able to complete the mission.

Yeah, I'm going thumbs up on what they did with Seth. Somehow the best of both worlds:
1. Rollins' problem as a singles guy after the first Authority push has always been motivation. He turned face because he was mad the heels chose another heel to help cheat for instead of him and never really had any single character moment that made him a face and that's held him back as a possible Top Guy, and then he made that weird detour into being a cult leader into being...a guy who laughs a lot?
He stays over because he's incredible in the ring and throws himself into whatever he's doing, but this was something different. A weird, sad clown who seemingly got involved in the feud because of how hard he was, in fact, getting clowned on as the Not Roman Champ. Someone who, because of everything we've seen about him, we have no reason to think actually means anything he's saying. And yet, for once, he was being real. He risked himself and lost his belt because of it and turned up at the end and did exactly what he promised to do anyway. Depending on where they want to go with him, that's finally Rollins doing something to earn being a face and making up for two supreme wrongs: what he did to Roman to start all of this in the first place and what he Cody to show that he realized he'd wronged Cody at the start of this cycle, too OR the inciting factor for him to slowly get bitter again because doing something good and decent for once cost him. That's good!
2. Simultaneously, it was also the single funniest way it could have happened. An injured Seth making a full-ass costume change and committing to the bit by sneaking through the crowd on a destroyed leg and then IMMEDIATELY getting knocked out with a single punch the very second he appears on camera in the middle of everyone else getting big heroic saving moments was straight up a spectacular sight gag. What more can you ask for?

Saw someone on Twitter make a theory that Seth's rescue plan, given he had nothing left, wasn't to go in and beat up the whole Bloodline. It was to do what he did.
He got himself in the ring, in an outfit he knows presses Roman's trauma button (last time Roman got himself DQed while literally screaming "I am never letting go")
... And he got a chair into the ring.

Seth said be would be Cody's shield. He came out to The Shield's theme. He took a hit for Cody.
It all kinda makes sense.
He went in knowing he was going to be a sponge, but the end result would be worth it.

He went in even after taking a beating from McIntyre in the opener and acted for the Greater Good (that being helping Cody win the title from the Bloodline’s grasp) and accomplished his mission.

And he got a chair into the ring. If you watch the videos recorded by fans live at the stadium, which captured Seth Rollins entering the ring better than WWE's cameras did, you'll realize this is 100 percent the case. Rollins gets in the ring very gingerly, you can tell he's still nursing the wounds of the previous night and his match with Drew McIntyre. He's got nothing left to give, there's nothing he can do that can help Cody Rhodes fend off The Rock, but what Rollins has done is that he's basically walked into a pit bull's yard wearing raw meat. He knows he's going to get his ass kicked by Roman Reigns, but that's the point, because every punch, kick, and chair shot he takes from Reigns is one fewer that Cody is taking. He's giving Cody a fighting chance by falling on his Shield.

It reminded me of a particular scene in Cobra Kai, I won't spoil it but it's the first thing I thought of when I saw it.

Apparently there's a live video of the whole segment and apparently Seth was barely able to stand up on his own and had to use the chair he brought in as a makeshift cane to get up on his feet before getting Superman Punch'd by Reigns. Made Seth look less like a pathetic goober who got killed instantly but more as a broken down warrior crawling and trying to will himself to help in any way he can.

guys, he wasn't a goober. he was the most selfless and admirable person for the whole weekend. he threw himself in there as he always said he would, as cody's literal shield and cody gets beaten into a pulp with that chair without seth in there. without him taker might not have shown up in time, roman wouldn't have been distracted while taker took out rock and also the chair shot distraction.
he is not buried, he is more made as a face than he has EVER been now.

He fought valiantly in those two matches and played a major role in Cody's victory and Roman's downfall, even when he got waylaid.

I was one of the loudest detractors of his reign going for as long as it did, was more than ready for him to lose it to finn/shinsuke and after this? he is more of a hero than cody. I love cody and I am ready to lose my mind seeing seth come back when he’s ready

It would be cool if they had both Seth and Roman return at the same time like Taker and HHH and they face each other at Summerslam

Meh… he should have lost to Finn or Shin
He’s still one of the most protected guys in the company.
