Just remember, some of history's most successful films got crapped on by critics. How many critics liked Star Wars when it first came out?
BTW, Rat Race was great.

Only because Ebert gave it, like, 1 star!

The Usual Suspects... Only because Ebert gave it, like, 1 star! Really? That ass munch.. I liked House of 1000 Corpses a lot when it came out, and was surprised at how much of it was low budget, but could still pull off some really awkward moments.

Fear and Loathing remains my favorite movie of all time. It was odd looking back and reading the reviews on such a classic.
I also liked the other Hunter movie, Where The Buffalo Roam, which was hated by both Thompson and critics alike, and sent Bill Murray into some sort of weird depression.

Fear and Loathing. Great book made into a great film. Critics just didn't get it. *EDIT* Honorable Mention to Grandmas Boy fear and loathing maybe something critics don't like. but every 16 year old stoner i know think its some biblical movie. needless to say i'm not a fan

Definitely Transformers. Not the current one, but the animated film from 20 years ago.
Also The Terminal. One of my favorite Tom Hanks movies.

The Dark Crystal.
In my local newspaper it was ripped apart and when I read it in 1980something I was devistated. Sad day for me. I really like the film!

Rat Race. Universally panned but loved by me. You know, I enjoyed that movie. It tried to be IT'S A MAD MAD MAD MAD WORLD for the new century, and its one of the Zucker boys trying to have fun. That said, the ending sucked. Smashmouth? Random fact: I'm an extra along with the rest of my drama class for the Scene (you have to zoom in closely). Yeah it was pretty hard listening to "All-Star" 30 sum times for two nights straight and having to mosh to it ;D To stay on topic, I'm a big fan of "Blade Runner", and was to surprise to read that it wasn't much of a big success with critics and audiences.

THat's cause star wars is a terrible movie series. And I ain't kidding. I usually agree with reviews but I find myself laughing at stuff like Date Movie but not for the material in it. I look at what they put in it and I think "someone thought this was funny?" and I start laughing.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Not because it was a druggie movie, but it was the ultimate guilt trip movie that really gave an insight to two guys who were living the American Dream even though the 60's were over and along the way really pushed the boundries of what was either funny of f***ed up.
