What are some albums that people claim are the end all - be all in music that just makes you wanna hit them with a sack of door knobs?
Maybe these kids with their new fangled whiny bands?
An over rated group from back in the day you just don't agree with?
A legendary artist you just don't see the appeal of?
Here is your chance to get it off your chest and list 5 of em that just pisses you off to see other people enjoying them!
Please remember lets try to NOT turn this into a flame war this is just for fun if you DO feel the need to voice your opinion on other peoples choices do so in a respectful manner.
This is just an excuse to be cranky.
Here's my list to get this rolling.
In no particular order..
Nirvana - Nevermind People like to act like this is some master piece.. don;t get me wrong I LOVE nirvana I just think this is their weakest album & I believe Kurt knew this... which is why he designed In Utero the way he did. Everyone I see enjoying this album makes me want to scream at them and tell them how much better their live works are (see With The Lights Out).
Fall Out Boy - From Under the Cork Tree Perhaps a sign of me becoming a cranky old man at the age of 23 already? This is a shining example and the poster boy of all this new music I can;t stand. Admittedly I probably just don't get it... but when I listen to it I don't hear music.
T.L.C. - FanMail This one is based simply off of "No Scrubs" song which EVERY female played for a SOLID 500 days straight on repeat. The mere mention of this bands name is tarnished for me which is a shame because they've produced a lot of other good tracks elsewhere, but now this is all I can think about when they're mentioned.
Trapt - Trapt Here's one of those bands that comes out with a repetitive single that has nothing to do with anything and no real meaning to it, Head Strong. Altho it was catchy, I don't think it should have warranted the album selling so well 'specially considering the rest of the album sucked. I can't think of a single friends collection I didn't see this album in at one point, only to be put in the player for the first track, (foolishly it was front loaded with their single followed by some... crap) then removed cause well, I start to bitch.
Limp Bizkit - Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water Now before everyone start bashing Limp let me get it out of the way I LOVED their first to albums. They were hate and angst and fun all rolled into a nice little compact disk. This one really fell off the wagon tho and became an attempt at having TOO much fun, which made none of it work quite right. It being forced down my throat by the MTV and radio helped make it on my list as well. Every single on this disk is enough to make me kick random people in the shins.

It doesn't piss me off that anyone enjoys something as long as I dont get exposed to it. With that said, I die a little any time I see someone getting an ignorant rap CD.
And before anyone starts yelling at me, what I consider "ignorant rap"
1 - Anything with a pot leaf on the cover 2 - Anything with someone scowling impossibly huge to show their ridiculous grill off 3 - Anything promoting violence 4 - Anything with skanky hoes on the cover
Beyond that, go for it.

You must be missing something cause thats not what any of their CD covers look like (Except Wizard of the Hood which isn't one of my favorites). Plus its just hard to talk about ICP because you really dont know what they're about or what the message behind their music is if you don't listen to it.

No, I meant the 'promoting violence' part of your previous post. Yeah, here's how I see that. ICP's violence has always been comical, cartoonish violence. Horror movie violence. Not "Sell dope, shoot cops, slap hoez" violence. And as explained on the last track of "The Wraith: Shangri-La" the violence is only there to draw people in to hear the message that they're bringing, that might not be interested in it otherwise.

I call bullcrap on that.
When Violent J says "I'm quick to hit a b****", that's not "slap hoez" violence?
Here's my picks:
Pink Floyd: Dark side of the moon Pink Floyd: The Wall Led Zeppelin IV

What's the important message behind "Best Thang Smokin'?" I really don't understand how you can't see a difference. Except for the typical ICP hate.

LOL it makes plenty of sense. Tell me how it doesn't. I'd say the burden's on you since you went all high and mighty calling things "ignorant rap". What is the important message? I thought you'd never ask. And I'm sorry that you find me "high and mighty" for being above supporting a negative stereotype on the entire African American community that tells the rest of the world that all young black men care about is guns, weed, ass, and dope rimz. In fact, I'll let ICP tell you themselves from the lyrics of the song "Thy Unveiling" where they reveal everything. This'll take some editing though cause its full of swearing Carnival of Carnage, The Ringmaster, The Riddle Box, The Great Milenko, The Amazing Jeckel Brothers, and The Wraith Looks like were all out of time brother! Everybodys out of time! F*** It, We gots to tell them All secrets will now be told No more hidden messengers This is it yall Times up Everything be out right here No need for the reverse talking The truth. Now we have been told this carnival s*** has touched on many lives. People have f***in' sworn to us they too can feel it inside. What is it that draws you in, this magic that compels you? We`ve been waiting six f*****` Joker Cards to finally tell you. The messages and hints were there, all though most never picked up on them. We snuck em` in subliminally with that wicked s*** around them. We mentioned more and more of this on every Joker's Card. The bottom line always the same, you aint have to look hard. We wickedly kick it, inflict it, you get it, get with it and dig we don't preach it flat, cause some ninjas don`t wanna get with ya, they quick to forget ya without the hatchet and get out. So we rose the hatchet, do or die, now Juggalos standing tall, after all 6 have risen the end of time will consume us all. It aint got nothing to do with us, It aint Psychopathic Records! All we`re doing is pointing this s*** out to you, we in this together! Who`s behind the Dark Carnival, thet Gatherings and the hatchet? Who`s beind Dark Lotus, the circus and everybody at it? Who inveted Juggalos and Juggalettes and f***** Faygo showers? What about that feeling you get when bumping our s***, who`s behind these Juggalo powers? This ain`t no f***in fan club, It aint about making a buck. Don`t buy our f***in action figures b****, i dont give a f***! It aint About Violent J or Shaggy, the Butterfly or seventeen. When we speak of Shangri-La, what you think we mean? Truth is we follow GOD, we`ve always been behind him, The Carnival is GOD and may all Juggalos find him! And if thats not good enough for you, listen to some of their "violent" songs sometime, such as Halls of Illusions. Who are the people killed in this song? A wife beater, someone who abuses his children, and a racist biggot.

I agree on American Idiot. That was their most successful album I think but it doesn't compare to their earlier stuff IMO. Nimrod will always be my favorite Green Day album.

Godz, even I gotta call shenanegins on this one. I DID listen to ICP for a while ... had a couple albums (Great Malenko, and a couple others) ... and if there was an overall message, it was lost on me. I heard plenty of cliches of the hardcore rap scene, however.
Jed Shaffer ~Not trying to bust your balls here. I wanna try to understand.

If so, listen to Halls of Illusions, which I mentioned above, and "Pass Me By" which is all about their desire to get into Heaven and lead a good life.
