Just what it says on the tin. List some moments in films that are uplifting.
I'll start with 2.
In the Name of the Father. Gerry Conlon finally is awarded his freedom after being wrongly jailed for bombing a pub. He says "I'm a free man and I'm going out the front door". As he walks through the lobby he throws his coat to the floor.
The Shawshank Redemption. Red and Andy are finally reunited on the outside. Red walks along the beach, Andy spots him and they walk to each other to meet. The camera pans out and you can just make them out hugging on the beach. Perfection!

The end of stranger then fiction. Where he's in the hospital bed after getting hit by the bus after saving the kid. He just says "what else was I supposed to do? I couldn't let the kid get hit."

Flight of the Navigator - When that puke kid learns to fly the space ship. Hands down most goose bump inspiring moment in films history.

Shawshank, as DiBiasi said.
And also...
"People will come. -What people, sweetheart? -From all over. They'll just decide to take a vacation, see? And they'll come to lowa City. They'll think it's really boring. So they'll want to pay us. Like buying a ticket. You're not seriously listening to this, are you? -Yes. -Wait a minute. Why would anybody pay money to come here?
To watch the games. It will be just like when they were kids, a long time ago. They'll watch the game and remember what it was like. -What the hell is she talking about? -People will come.

The episode of Futurama with Fry's dog. No, wait, that's the saddest thing I think I've ever seen.

Iron Giant was underrated, but not ever seen is uplifting. He explodes, it's sad. Though, the part of him left moves, so we're led to think he can come back together again one day.

The fact that it was the one time I enjoyed Vin Diesel's acting is kind of uplifting. But more so it is just this weird kid who finds a friend one that saves the town and gives himself. it is also the sexiest I have ever found Jennifer Aniston.

Sam carrying Frodo up the moutain. That one almost got me misty eyed. And then, when they get home and Frodo's laying in bed, Sam saunters over to him and just bricks right in his mouth.
