I hate comedians who signal when it's time to laugh, tell the joke and wait with a pregnant pause EXPECTING reaction.

The fact that Dane Cook and Sarah Silverman are allowed to exist. Nothing annoys me more.

Yeah I remember there was that one huge comedy show, on HBO, to raise money for Hurricane Katrina. Dane actually told like, jokes about the kids in the third world commericials, but his jokes kinda went along with donating money and not being selfish. But then Sarah was on there just talking about the little kids in the videos and, well you know, whatevers shocking, I cant remember but Im sure it was something about black people and jews and stuff. And of course everyone on the YouTube comments no matter what, are automatically "OMG SARAH IS A GENIUS DANE COOK SUCKS, HAS NO TALENT WHATSOEVER". Thats when I really started noticing how much blind hate Dane Cook has. I mean if you dont like him, thats cool, but most people just seem to go around the videos and dont even talk about the material. And seriously, you dont gotta think hes funny, but that "NO TALENT AT ALL EVER" stuff is bullcrap. (Oh and I like Sarah Silvermans show, but not her stand up. Her stands ups just like her saying purposley shocking stuff over and over...)

Dane Cook does get a lot of crap, but that's how overexposure goes. There's way too much of him on the air at any given time.
Silverman doesn't bug me with her stand up because I think we do need comedy like that. It's only when we can laugh at racism and our faults and pains that we can transcend them.

Yeah, well when she does that for real, its cool. When she comes out and just says a bunch of shocking stuff just to do it, thats not cool. But I remember on a Conan interview, she said she wanted to get out of jury duty, and her friend told her to say "I hate ch*nks", but she didnt wanna be racist, so she put "I love ch*nks" or something like that. THATS the stuff she needs to do. Its making fun of racism and stuff...

the fact that they repeat alot of their old jokes that arent that funny anymore in their new acts Exactly.. or they switch the lines or add the same punchline in a different sentence/phrase. Katt Williams, Pablo Francisco, Lisa Lampanelli, and a whole bunch of people do it.. but it just means they're being lazy slobs about their material.. or they are dull in real life.

For some reason, I am very forgiving of Hot Pocket jokes from Jim Gaffigan. Something about him just makes me like him a lot.

He (a Chinese-American guy) said what she said was racist, she said, "No, it's making fun of racisim" It was a whole thing. I don't recall the details.

The overuse of vulgarity annoys me,it can be used to help tell the story or just to get reaction. That's why people still listen Bill Hicks and George Carlin, they knew that there's an art to comedy.Guys like Andrew Dice Clay use vulgarity to plug holes in their act.

Comedians that make unfunny jokes "funny" to their audiences by A) pulling funny faces or B) being very very loud. More B than the other pisses me off. Offenders include Will Ferrel, Jim Carrey, Lee Evans (sorry), Carlos Mencia (don't like anything about this guy), and especially Dane Cook. I just don't see how Dane Cook is so funny. Really. "So, like, sometimes, you get, like CHEESE...on your pizza...hahaha...but wait, it's not the *cheese* that you're expecting. Oh, no. It's a *different* type of *cheese*, and you're like "what is this cheese on my pizza?" "What is this *cheese* on my *pizza*?" "WHAT IS THIS *CHEESE* ON MY *PIZZA*??" "WHAT IS THIS CHEESE ON MY PIZZA??" Some of you might like the way he tells them. I just think he seems grasping. yeah Lee Evans.. running about like Norman Wisdon on speed and telling mundane jokes doesn't make you a good comedian Graham Norton is a suprisingly decent stand up comedian one of my fav Bill Bailey things I remember him doing is when he was talking about Starsky and Hutch and kept playing the lil bits of incidental music you'd get on the show throughout on the whole 3rd world adverts..Sam Kinisons view on it acxtually makes sense once you get past the shouting and swearing
