Oh yeah, and really those scenes of Palpatine scheming and one realizes that whole backdrop of what he does to instigate the Clone War and taking over as dictator...I dig that. Though I wonder about that whole scene in EP3 when he proclaims an Empire*, and everyone cheers. Would Americans clap and cheer if President Bush declared an American Empire?*=Of course, this is supposed to be B-movie fodder done with massive budgets & CGI, so maybe that question shouldn't matter at all. Yeah Palpatine's whole devious rise to total power was very well done. Perhaps they all cheered out of fear, he'd just ordered the jedi slaughter so they knew that anyone who opposed him might have gotten the same treatment. Why was it the Clone War and not the Clone/Droid War? Clone War implies there's only clones involved fighting each other. You know, thats a good point about the cheering. Sorta like any Saddam Hussein event in his heyday. That makes sense, though there was one shot that I think Lucas considered but decided it was redundant. It was during Palpatine's speech declaring the Empire, but there is a vocal minority trying to shout him down. As similar to the Reichstag in 1933 when the very legislation that gave Hitler his dictator powers was being passed, there would have been a vocal minority in the Republican Senate that would have tried to stop this dictatorship with the very same process that Palpatine abused to take over. Brave, like the Social Democrats tried to fight Hitler's Nazi take-over in the 1933 Reichstag.... ....which Palpatine has them escorted by the new security of this police-state, probably sent to certain death like those German Reichstag members were among the first shipped off to the concentration camps. Then the speech continues, and rest of the Senate applauded very loudly to show their "support." Honestly, maybe redundant, but I would have dug it. As for the Clone War question.....well, why do Americans call the Seven Years War the "French & Indian War"?

Uma Thurman and Ralph Fienes in "The Avengers" movie and whoever played Superman and whoever played Lois Lane in "Superman Returns". When I was in a Film class in college, we had to keep a movie watching journal and I'd go off on geek rants in regard to screen couples that were just thrown together.
As for Star Wars, Han and Leia worked much better because that part of the story was written by A WOMAN (Leigh Brackett who passed away from cancer before ESB was completed). And cause Han and Leia were likable characters that had the tension building for years, whereas Padme suddenly realized she loved Anakin after 2 days and most of those days he was an awkward creepy John Hinkley stalker.

Weren't they (Natalie/Hayden) supposed to be going out in real life for a while?
One of the theories is that if there's chemistry off screen, there's none on (see also Lopez/Affleck).

I'd never heard that about Natalie and Hayden but that'd be even more laughable. I don't buy that theory because Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn had it on-screen and off-screen. And a few of Doctor Whos and their companions had the chemistry on and off. I never saw JLo and Affleck have any offscreen chemistry (other than, we're being photographed together and the media loves writing about us).

Padme: "Anakin....I love you....I truly deeply love you"
Anakin: "I. Thought. We. Agreed. Not. To. Fall. In. Love?"
Padme: "Yeah, you're right....it makes no sense does it?"
Lucas: -thinks- "Wow, this is really romantic"

Anakin: "I. Thought. We. Agreed. Not. To. Fall. In. Love?" That made me think of William Shatner as Anakin
