Wow the thread deteriorated into a Football vs Football arguement. Completely stupid. You can blame me for that, as I made the point that at the same time as the Wembley NFL game, Liverpool will be playing Arsenal in the Premiership. Does Rugby appear on tv or played in America? Seeing as it is fairly similar to Amercian Football. It's never on TV.

Seeing as it is fairly similar to Amercian Football. Not really. Which is too bad. It honestly gets about as much hype as soccar if it does. Which is zero. Rugby actually gets less hype and attention than soccer, which is saying something. Hell, Lacrosse gets more attention than Rugby.

While I think going to London is a great idea, I feel that if I were a Dolphins fan, I'd be a little peeved because that's one less home game. Fixed: 6 games in division. 4 games from a specific division inside your conference 2 games that were on the same level the year before in another division outside of the specific division. 4 games out of conference

I don't understand it to much because because I rarely get to see it, but when I watch it or play the video games I like it.

And it kind of added to my opinion of the original topic. Football/Soccer is an international sport, while the NFL isn't. I must be a heretic, since I like both footballs...or is it feetball?

That would be entertaining.

Oh dear. Putting it on the same time as Liverpool Arsenal is well, quite stupid really.
And you really expect after the comments made by a certain American footballer about London today that i'm gonna watch it? Sorry mate.

It can be best two-out-of-three, and if the third match is needed it's on neutral ground.... something like swimming.

Fixed: 6 games in division. 4 games from a specific division inside your conference 2 games that were on the same level the year before in another division outside of the specific division. 4 games out of conference Exactly right. The 4 games against a single division in your own conference works on a rotating 3-year cycle. The 4 games against a division in the other conference is on a 4-year cycle, and the two intra-conference games against equal-quality teams are determined by last year's standings. If you finished in first place in your division, you play two first place teams from other divisions. If you finished second, you face two second place teams. And so on.

I wont knock soccer just because I don't watch it, but I do find it terribly boring and it seems like most Americans agree, seeing as how there isn't much of an audience here for it. I don't dislike it because it isn't American either. I can't stand baseball either. And American football is the real football to me. It has never had another name since I've been watching and soccer has always been soccer. No reason for me to call it any differently now. Anyway, I really hope that people overseas don't take to it very well. I'm sure it will become big other places, but I really think it is crappy to the fans of these teams to not be able to watch their teams play, especially season ticket holders. Although it did provide us with some damn fine comedy the other day during a Jason Taylor (Miami Dolphins defensive end) interview the other day. He said "we can't win in America, maybe we need to go overseas", or something to that extent. Hilarious. It's probably just a question of upbringing or something... Y'know, like you've been watching for as long as you can recall & I'm sure many soccer fans have had the opposite experience. I find Gaelic football to be more exciting than either; again, perhaps more to do with upbringing, etc. I'm not sure that there IS that much of a market for NFL games outside of the States, anyway. I mean, just look at the disbanding of NFL Europe earlier this year.

It's such a rough sport, with so many injuries or just hurt people even if they aren't injured, that there would be no way all 32 teams could play each other.

There wouldn't be anybody left by the end of the season.

How many games would there be if they all played each other? each other 1 game? 31 for each team. Is there just the one tournament, league, season (whatever you call it) which ends with the Superbowl, or is there other smaller tournaments that are played through the season aswell? Like The Premiership is the main league in English football, but we also have the FA Cup and League Cups (Which involve every team in all the leagues from Manchester United right down to Worksop) plus european matches.
