What a load of crap, so NJPW, NOAH, CMLL, AAA & all the rest don't count? Let's not go all "out of country" here. It's apples and oranges because styles are so different. Mic skills are key to getting over, so we can't compare promotions that don't even speak the same primary language (english) as the E. Sorry for not clarifying that earlier.

Yeah, WWE is the only wrestling mainstream fans care about. ...Alright? That doesn't make it better or more enjoyable. But just because mainstream fans like it ALSO doesn't mean that its automatically NOT the best wrestling out there. The IWC is like a rock music fan who assumes you no nothing about music if your favorite band isn't some garage band from Toledo no one has heard of. Likewise, "real" wrestling fans know that the WWE sucks, and ROH is the "real deal". The IWC doesn't think WWE sucks because it's mainstream; they think it sucks because their product is horrible. I mean, WWE has given us Big Dick Johnson, The Great Khali, the Punjabi Prison Match, Kevin Federline VS John Cena, "Rosie" VS "Donald," December 2 Dismember, the raping of ECW's legacy, Extreme Strip Poker, Bobby Lashley as ECW Champion, Eddiesploitation, and other horrible and boring skits. The only thing WWE has going for them is some good wrestlers on RAW and ECW and the whole SmackDown! show. When the IWC says WWE sucks, they are looking at its quality, not its quantity.

I think ROH matter very much, because you have the likes of Bryan Danielson coming out of ROH who may not be a huge main event star in WWE anyday but I think they'll always need guys to carry wrestling wise & ROH is where they are gonna get 'em. I'm not so pissed now since you really just mean US wrestling.

I'm not saying that the ROH or TNA shows are awful. I'm just saying that they're the minor leagues compared to the WWE. That doesn't preclude them from having an enjoyable product. When you said that Brian Danielson "may be a WWE Star someday", I was nodding in agreement. I think that's true- but whether or not his career is seen as a success later on will have a lot to do with what he someday achieves in the E- not what he did in ROH. I mean, if he headlines 5 WrestleManias, everyone will forget he was ever in ROH, and he'll always be seen as a WWE guy.

Well, if someone actually offered you the $40K or the $200K, I bet you would change your tune. I would wrestle in heat dressed up as a woman for 200K. Oh wait, that'd be gimmick infringement on Vito. But all the same, you would NOT leave $160K on the table for the sake of integrity. And it's not like you're "selling out" by taking Vince's money! Almost all wrestlers want to be involved in the greatest wrestling company on earth. So, if all you have to do is play a slightly different character than you envisioned to get there, so what? Slightly different? Dressed up like a woman or a male cheerleader or even just wearing a pair of blue suspenders is far away from what I pictured for my "character". Id just hope that I can establish MY character and then get an offer from Vince to have the same character on WWE. If not, well then I dont care. I would choose the 40 and a light schedele over 200 and a terrible schedele AND a terrible gimmick...

ROH is my favorite company right now. TNA and WWE right now are about tied. And tons of wrestlers have turned WWE down for less money, so don't pull that card. Those tons of wrestlers you are referring to have turned down developmental contracts, not full blown WWE contracts. I'd be willing to be my own money that had WWE offered these guys contracts to be called up to the main roster and get paid the big money, they would have bit. I know ROHbots ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) would like to think the guys are loyal enough to wrestle for peanuts forever, but the truth is, there is no reason to do it for a living if your ultimate goal isn't to end up in WWE, or to a smaller degree, TNA.

Hardly, "peanuts" as you put it.

Thank you, Garcia. There is a huge difference between being a Rob Conway style (highly paid) jobber, and some developmental guy jerking the curtains at OVW for slightly over minimum wage.

I know. he wrestles in tons of different companys, but he working less dates than he would in WWE, he gets to use his own character and wrestling style, and he is making more money than he would for the E. Good deal, IMO.

and garcia, is that an alt account or something? Yes. I must be an alt due to the fact that I have trolled the board so hard and have an opinion that you disagree with. And Joe works for TNA, not an indy. He wasn't making that kind of money before TNA came along, believe that.

I know what I like and I want to entertain fans like me. I don't care about some 8 year old Cena mark.
And if you just wrestle for the money then technically that makes you a whore.
