So what happened to all the other Benoit threads? Were they ALL deleted?

How do you think anyone will react if any wrestlers DO dedicate a match to Benoit? H e really was loved by many from what i understand... and so respected so i can see it happening.

It depends on the thread. The main ones are just being locked at 30 pages and de-stickied.

Because there was some discussion of Joe Scarborough v. Dan Abrams, I'll give some details as I am a pretty avid viewer of MSNBC.
Dan Abrams is one of the main men in charge of MSNBC. I can't off-hand give you his official company title. He has an authority role about the programming on MSNBC. For instance, he has the power to pull a show on the network and replace it with something else. He can also make changes to the time show air. For instance, he made Scarborough Country come on at 9 pm eastern rather than 10 pm, its original timeslot.

So what happened to all the other Benoit threads? Were they ALL deleted? The main ones are being locked once they reach 30 pages to help keep the board from crashing. Any others will be deleted.

I don't think they will. Yes, he may be respected within Pro Wrestling, but after what he did, I don't think any wrestler has any respect left for him.

I think the media would throw another fit if a wrestle pointed to the sky at the end of the match or used one of his taunts.

The same code applies in wrestling as it does in prison. kill a kid and your blacklisted..dead or alive.

It depends on the thread. The main ones are just being locked at 30 pages and de-stickied. I was just wondering because the "Please read this" thread I started had a lot of great non-Benoit related stuff in it that I think was valuable to the board regardless of the current situation. Stuff about having love and compassion for all people.

I can't bring myself to hate Benoit. While repulsed by his actions, especially the killing of his little boy, I would prefer to think of him as a good man who took a wrong turn somewhere and wasn't in his right mind at the end.
I hope him, Nancy and Daniel are at peace somewhere.

I hope him, Nancy and Daniel are at peace somewhere. This is the way I'm approaching the situation as well. I don't think I'll ever be able to hate him.

Dan Abrahams is clueless...and worse, instead of asking the right questions to divulge some sort of answer to the madness.............he asked whatever questions in order to get the desired answer that he had in mind before the show even began.
Thats the problem with the news media. Whats sad is, Abrahams basically is the "booker" of the MSNBC news division now as a producer (and filling in when the show hosts time to time).
I mean, look at Bret Hart. He couldn't believe it. We as fans couldn't believe it. Abrahams made him out to be like Cutts' friends in that whole other unrelated story.
As for the fiasco of last night, WWE didn't know. We didn't know. Hell, it was until WWE confirmed the murder-suicide that I accepted it as fact.....which was at what, 10 or 11 PM last night? (or was it? Correction please?)
Fact was, that stuff was taped and roughly planned for broadcast before WWE knew of the situation behind Benoit's death.
Let me tell you folks. If Vince McMahon and WWE knew of it before the tribute aired, they would have PULLED THE DAMN PLUG. I am sure of it.
Really, this IS a worse situation than Owen's death. This is worse than the steroid trial in the early 1990s. This is the worst situation that WWE has faced yet PR-wise.

Especially because the media is portraying them as a company who had a 3-hour tribute for a "murderer".
