n an interview with ESPN.com on Tuesday, Ballard indicated that the boy had needle marks in his arms. The district attorney said he believed that the boy had been given growth hormones for some time because the family considered him undersized.
They thought he was undersized...I dated a girl whos little brother was real small for his age and he was given Growth Hormone as well so it wasnt as if Benoit was being neglectful in this sense...

The flying headbutt though...You've probably seen your last one of those on WWE TV, at least for a good long while. And the Crossface is as good as gone. And the thumb across the throat. I know he didn't pioneer it, but at this point...I just don't see them letting anyone else do it. Too many connotations. Undertaker does it, though.

there will be no crossface for a while, even when trying to garner heel heat. this type of situation brings it too far, its something that you want to dissasociate with wrestling

Look...at the end of the day...he bound his wife and killed her friday, the son saturday, and he died sunday, that screams premeditation.

The thing that gets to me is that I loved Chris Benoit, I really did. I didn't think there was ANYONE better in between those ropes, and I thought he was someone all wrestlers should strive to be like. When a hero can do something like this though, it just throws all my s*** into disarray, I don't really know what to think. I'll always love Chris Benoit the wrestler, always, and everyone forgetting 22 years of greatness over one senseless weekend makes me really sad, even if I can understand people hating Chris Benoit the man over it. One of the greatest wrestlers of all time is inevitably going to be remembered as a murder, I'm not sure how I feel about that. I just don't really know what to think about a guy who was meant to be so respected and so loved doing something like this, I really don't. It wasn't just one "senseless" weekend, people forget that. Nancy had a restraining order against Benoit who was accused of "acts of violence" and she said she feared for the health of herself and Daniel.

I thought beniot was the bnest wrestler since brett Hart...i am starting to think WWE is a curse. I wish i knew what exactly happened, the cause, why he lost it. I just can;t believe thsi was spread over the weekend yet it was the first we here in UK heard of it when i opened up a newspaper and saw it. Its something out of a movie...i still can;t get my head around it. Again, it's been online for 24 hours +.

This is just all too surreal for me. I don't even know what to think anymore.

So will we get the "In Memory Of" tribute screen to Nancy and Daniel with an obvious omission tonight?

i was out for awhile, he we discussed all of beniots skeleton's? or are there a few left to exploit? and no im not ashamed of having him in my sig, becuase i dont feel one moment of hoplessness and desperation on his part warrents me completly forgetting the years of hard work he's put into wrestling. As mentioned it wasn't one moment of hopelessness and desperation. Nancy had put a restraining on him as recently as 2003 and he has been accused of acts of violence, which has been proven out later by what he did to his wife and son. There are also rumors of Nancy possibly on the verge of filing for divorce. It wasn't a one time thing.

What about the dogs? Not trying to be funny but usually when law enforcement tries to get on property and dogs block the way, they put them down...
As far as Benoit's movelist, he wasn't the first to do the flying headbutt so I don't see that being outlawed as much as the multiple germans...but then again it has also become synonymous with Kurt Angle as well so who knows?
Some other random thoughts:
-In previous Benoit threads, I noticed people question why Daniel was in the house in the first place. Where does that come from? School is out, and Daniel LIVED there.
-The office where Nancy was found, and Daniel's bedroom were both on the 2nd floor. I'm trying to comprehend the gap between the killings and there is a possibility no one mentioned. Most 7 year olds wouldn't be allowed in an office-like room. When I was young, I couldn't be in the living room too much. Anyways, maybe he only intended to kill Nancy and was trying to figure out a way to kill himself but have Daniel safe. Benoit has no family in Atlanta. He could have just meant to kill her and not him but he discovered his mom's body and Benoit could have panicked? Maybe he would have accepted the consequences of his action but after killing his son, he decides to kill himself? I'm not speculating, just trying to make sense of it all. Why else would there be a gap?

I said I wasn't posting here in this thread anymore but..... I understand them feeling the need to do that, but they should just leave it be. Most people understand the circumstances of the tribute last night. Just move on. That's the best thing to do right now.

One thing this tragedy has taught me, or re-enforced in me, is how much all these guys and gals have to sacrifice to get where they are in this business. You can have the biggest biceps and muscles in the world and you can pump yourself up with as much steroids as you want and be the most technical wrestler in the world, but what you really need to succeed and remain and honest human being is a big heart and a big brain.
I do not know if this tragedy would have been avoidable had Benoit not been a wrestler, but I am sure that the pain and perhaps emotional depresseion he suffered as a result of whatever it had been would not have been as great if Benoit had not sacrificed his body night in and night out, week in and week out, and year in and year out for this business and to entertain you and I.
I have sworn to myself to never disrespect or insult the talents in the wrestling business. We may criticize their wrestling as much as we want, but there is one thing we will never understand or really be able to realize from this side of the ropes, and that is the amount of heart it takes to survive in this business.
Just wanted to get that off my chest ....

And one more random thought.....no one is mentioning the statement made about calls being made to an Atlanta news station inquiring about Benoit's death TWO WEEKS PRIOR to it actually happening

I said I wasn't posting here in this thread anymore but..... IMO they shouldn't even do this, they should just let it go and push forward. They honored Benoit the wrestler, not Benoit the tragic murderer.

I said I wasn't posting here in this thread anymore but..... for all the -ish that we have given the previous vince angle lately, the wwe is trying their best to be as dignified as possible in this situation and we could give them credit for that. on a side note, i know that it was expressed eariler, but i'd like to thank the wrestlecrap mods for their hard work for allowing us to discuss this and for allowing people to express themselves and being respectful at the same time during this tragedy. it makes things easier to deal with when you can talk about things sometimes.
