"You are seriously, SERIOUSLY paranoid or doing some wishful thinking here. This other person would also have to know Chavo Guerrero's cell phone number. And you're also discounting the now known prior records of Benoit's psychological problems and stormy relationship. This narrows the pool of suspects to pretty much nil. I got fifty bucks says you're thinking Kevin Sullivan. But get smurfing real." Actually they wouldn't have to know Chavo's number. Nancy's phone was used and Chavo's number was probably saved in her phone list. What am I saying this is just too sensational. Okay, then it would have to be someone who knew that Benoit and Chavo were friends. Forget it, I refuse to discuss this nonsense any further.

So, do any of you agree that it might be to the WWE's benefit if they tried to institute policies such as forcing workers to take anger management with problems such as domestic abuse (they did say in the press conference that Nancy was seeking a restraining order in 2003)? Maybe adding a staff psychiatrist would be good. Maybe they could look at what the NFL's attempting with their conduct policy. I mean, I know you might not be able to prevent everything, but you always try. Best answer? Stop having them work 300+ days a year, away from their families, having to pop pain killers, etc. etc. yadda yadda. Yes, get a staff psychiatrist, and snuff out problems if you can (since employee behavior reflects on the employer), but so many problems/deaths we've seen recently have big time ties to guys basically spending their entire adult lives doing nothing but traveling, taking bumps, and repeating.

The WWE would, in effect, be taking responsibility for their employee's anger issues and it's not their role. If a wrestler has an anger problem, it should be his responsibility alone to deal with it. They are grown men. The WWE can't be responsible for every facet of their workers' wellbeing.

Wrestling fans need to stop fighting and band together. Even if you aren't a Benoit fan, what he did is a black mark on all of wrestling, and it's going to make it even harder to be a wrestling fan. We already get a lot of crap. Imagine what it's going to be like now? Especially with reporters saying garbage like Benoit killed his son with a wrestling move, or that he went into the longest roid rage ever known to man (impossible) and killed his family because of it... Also makes me sick to my stomach to read people saying "I told you so." Good job. Your internet speculation did nothing to save Nancy or Daniel, so it means a big fat pile of crap to me or anyone else. Instead of fighting, insulting Benoit, or insulting each other maybe we should all band together and show compassion towards the Benoit family. Instead of sitting on here fighting, maybe you should write a letter to WWE to forward your prayers/well wishes to the family and friends affected by this tragedy. I have compassion for his family, Nancy, Daniel. Do I have any for Chris? Certainly not.

Why would anyone give a damn about destroying his reputation in the ring? Basic fact, the man was a disturbe individual, he put his family through hell over the weekend before killing them, and then the coward took his own life. I dont care how good the man was in the ring, there is no excuse for what this P.O.S. did. The whole thing just seems suspicious not to mention smurfed up to me. I'm just not throwing it out of the realm of possibility that something far more sinister than just "a disturbed individual killed a 7 year old child and his wife" happened. Remember the Amityville Horror? Could have happened here, or at least in his own mind that could have happened. I'm just, for the sake of my own curiosity, trying to come up with something. Pulling strings maybe, but so what? What harm do my conspiracy theories do? I also think Gerald Ford was behind the JFK assassination. The Amityville Horror was a movie......the "true" story of it has long since been proved a hoax. Carrying on now.....

What I really want to know though is...why didn't this mental illness of Benoit come out until it's too late. If this crap was happening up to a year ago, maybe if someone smurfing spoke up and said "hey, there is something wrong here", maybe the death of this child and his mother could have been avoided entirely. I mean, goddamn it. I agree, but Benoit was known to be a quiet and private person. In his isolation, his illness probably only grew worse. Unfortunately sometimes we get so wrapped up in our own lives that we don't see the warning signs in others until it's too late...and if they aren't willing to get help, then nobody can help them.

Ok, fine, the guy was mentally ill. Something should have been done if stuff like this was known prior to this tragic incident.

I mean, I know you might not be able to prevent everything, but you always try. I gotta go with what the torch wrote about giving them 6 weeks off twice a year to mend their bodies, souls and families. This way, there will be a psychological 'light at the end of the tunnel' as opposed to the eternity of the WWF road schedule. Perhaps then they won't be so tempted to slip into drugs, or feel so isolated from the rest of the world. Having worked in journalism briefly, I can tell you that it does get lonely living with nothing but your passport and pills to call friends. I mean really, really, really lonely. Like drive you crazy lonely. Best answer? Stop having them work 300+ days a year, away from their families, having to pop pain killers, etc. etc. yadda yadda. Here's an idea. Do you think WWE should cut back to one TV show a week (RAW) and less PPV's like the old days? Then maybe the workload wouldn't be as bad, not just physically, but mentally as well. When you don't have major shows to worry about as often it will take less of a toll stress wise. I know for money reasons this probably won't happen, but it's a thought.

I am a grownup and if I have an anger management problem, it is my responsibility alone to resolve it, not my employer's.

The big story with Eddie Guerrero's rehab was that his pals actually drew the line and intervened to get him help. What went wrong with Benoit? Why didn't anyone get him help?
