Hey, I know how you can find the answers. Use your amazing "I don't take things at face value" powers! That'll solve it! I'm glad that you're fine just condemning a guy and calling him scum before even trying to figure out what led up to this. Maybe if we cut your way of thinking things could be solved. Dude, you are flat out wrong. That's all there is to it. But go ahead and chase whatever fantasy stories you want. Hey, how about going on down to Georgia and giving the cops a hand? You've got such a better handle on things after all. I mean, what? You're hundreds if not thousands of miles away from the guys actually working on the crime scene and who do it for a living. I'm sure you've got something worthwhile to back up your assertions. Hurry! Before it's too late! And don't forget to take Sully, Mulder and Scooby Doo with you.

What I really want to know though is...why didn't this mental illness of Benoit come out until it's too late. If this crap was happening up to a year ago, maybe if someone smurfing spoke up and said "hey, there is something wrong here", maybe the death of this child and his mother could have been avoided entirely. I mean, goddamn it. I agree, but Benoit was known to be a quiet and private person. In his isolation, his illness probably only grew worse. Unfortunately sometimes we get so wrapped up in our own lives that we don't see the warning signs in others until it's too late...and if they aren't willing to get help, then nobody can help them. And that's a key factor here. Not just in wrestling, but in all walks of life. Too often, the signs of mental illnesses go unnoticed or at least unrealized until it's too late. Hindsight is 20/20. I think it's part of the way our society works these days. People simply don't notice one another. Even when they see the signs, they chalk it up to something else.

Hold on! Someone on WIKI knew Nancy was dead! How? I made the earlier post about that... I'm thinking it was probably just some kid who thought "Jarrett's wife died not long ago, so I guess Benoit's wife died too."

I would guess the Wiki entry was just a guy posting something he thought was false, like people do all the time on Wiki. There was a Wiki entry that this whole incident was part of a storyline, unfortunatley for this person, his tragic guess was correct

Creepy, but a coincidence. How's it a coincidence if a revision posted before police were called by the WWE says Nancy was dead?

Yep, and that's a pretty sad commentary on the human condition.

The cops may not, I don't care. What are you adding to the situation anyways? "He killed his family. It's f'd up." That's all I'm hearing. We have hundreds of other people saying the same thing. I'm at least trying to speculate and add something interesting to the thread.

Creepy, but just a coincidence. Hey, I said when I posted it two Benoit threads ago that I thought it was an odd coincidence. But it was noteworthy then and it's become noterworthy again.

Okay guys, we get it. Let's move on. If you've made your point, there's no need to keep rehashing it over and over.

I think it's part of the way our society works these days. People simply don't notice one another. Even when they see the signs, they chalk it up to something else. And for all we know, wrestlers' interactions with each other may be more fleeting than we know. Remember, they ALL have a 24 hour a day hectic life of catching planes, renting cars, planning matches, doing photo shoots, doing interviews, going to booking meetings, working out at the gym, going to the doctor, maintaining their family, actually wrestling the matches, finding some place to eat, checking in and out of hotel rooms, doing autograph signings, doing commentary for DVDS, getting scanned for action figures...the list goes on and on and on and on. So with Benoit being private anyway, it could see how it could slip guy. Obviously if he did a bunch of weird things leading up to this, THEN someone should have caught it. But at 40, he was obviously a quietly ticking time bomb, not a loudly hissing string of dynamite.

I hate to add to speculation, but Chris' second text message about the dogs being locked up and the side door being open...can mean their was a fourth party.
Doubt it, but as an investigator involved in the case, I hope they checked or will check these things out.

But at 40, he was obviously a quietly ticking time bomb, not a loudly hissing string of dynamite. Exactly. And someone brought up the Eddie intervention earlier. It's apples and oranges I think. Eddie's problems were physical and could be seen out in the open by those around him. Benoit starts losing it, people start to just think he's tired, or homesick, or letting the injuries get to him.

Wait...didn't the reports say that the investigators had trouble getting into the house because the dogs were loose?

Okay, trying a different tactic here now:
No more mention of the wikipedia article for now, okay? At all.
How's that?
