The Canadian Destroier/C4. I mean... c'mon. They're visually exciting all of the first time you see them, then you realize the logistics of the moves and the fact that half the roster couldn't take the move. the canadian destroyer works when he does the running version, same physics as the sunset flip run jump flip momentum drops them on their head. standing then flip sucks because there's just way too much help from the guy. the C-4 would work if he whipped them off the ropes then hit it.

Side note: Am I the only one who, through this whole last part of the discussion about the CFL, keeps hearing it to the tune of Vince's theme music?
Clothesline!...CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL!
In any case, whether it was a good finisher or a bad one, it really needed a better name.

As bad as some of you may think the Rock Bottom is, it's worlds better than Rocky's original finisher, "the shoulder breaker."
And for those same people, how does Matt Hardy's Side Effect stack up to the Rock Bottom in your opinion? They have the same set up, it's just that the guy doing the move lands differently. Opponents are held (nearly, or at times exactly) the same way and land the same way, is the Side Effect as weak as some of you see the Rock Bottom being?

I don't understand how a 450 splash or a Shooting Star Press is supposed to have more impact than say, a Frog Splash. More momentum since you're spinning The only thing I remember from science class is that Force = Mass x Velocity. Mass is basically your weight and IIRC everything (whether it's a body or a brick) gains speed at a rate of 2.8 m/s² without some sort of parachute or glider contraption. So with this theory(or fact...not quite sure) the only thing that would change the force of the impact is being heavier or falling from something taller. Can someone back this up or prove it wrong? Either/or will make me happy. Sorry if reading that made your brain explode.

Not one mention for the Rugged Ronnie Garvins stomp??? That was a finisher?! He used it as a finisher once or twice in some jobber matches. But I think he used the sharpshooter most of the time. The only opponent I ever beat with a Garvin stomp was a cockroach. He sold it well too. He even bladed.

4. I'm too lazy to look it up, so I'll take your word for it. Point. Though you still fail to explain how a weaker clothesline (i.e. NOT airborne) is a WHC level finisher when people get right back up from his usually. Actually, JBL's clothesline looks believable because he swings his arm back as far as he can and then violently swings it forward. Taker's clothesline, while it might be airborne, isn't as powerful as he tends not to actually swing his arm, he just jumps, waits for his arm to hit instead of swinging and then just rolls in mid-air.

Right. JBL's clothesline from Hell looks a lot more impactful than Taker's jumping clothesline, IMO.

Everyone disliking the Clothesline from Hell, i always thought it was more a japanese style short arm lariat because he tended to grab the opponants wrist and pull them in, which is what distinguished it from the sort of clothesline everyone does.
Either way, the way he hit it made me buy it.
As an answer I have to go with the Sweet Chin Music. It's a kick. About as fundemental as you can get.

I like Sweet Chin Music, but I hate "tuning up the band".

Tornado should of hit a big boot with his fake foot, and claim it was a "loaded boot". Tornado would of gotten over as a super tough guy, if he pulled off his own foot and beat his opponents into submission. Nowadays if he and the Repo Man were still around, WWE would work an angle where Repo steals his prosthetic foot for not paying for the prosthetic since he did not have health insurance.
