Today marks two years since we lost one of the most talented, funny, charismatic wrestlers of our generation. This is a appreciation thread, so share your memories of Eddie here.

Eddie was a man who fought more demons that any man should have. He won in the end because while he died, I know he went to heaven, where demons won't tread and only Legends are allowed.

Damn, has it really been two years already? The WCW Radicalz is down to two with Malenko and Saturn. Anyone hear anything about Perry Saturn lately?

Two years ago, I didn't find out about this until I got home from doing a week of Katrina-related relief work in Mississippi.
Coming home to this news made me feel even worse.

So then normal people like myself can't get into heaven? That sucks. I better go slay a dragon or something real quick. I miss Eddie like crazy. I have always felt a sense of guilt because I had pretty much turned by back on him before he died due to the whole Dominic story line, which I absolutely despised. I will feel forever fortunate though, that I was able to see him live 2 weeks before he died. He wrestled a dark match main event at a SD taping in L.A. and after the match he thanked us all for coming out and watching him and allowing him to live his dream in front of us. He said it was because of the fans and his love of wrestling that he was able to get though the hard times in his life. It was a beautiful moment that I will never forget. So for that and for every single time you stepped between those ropes to do what you loved and what I loved watching you do, I say thank you Eddie.

I got to see he and Rey vs MNM the week MNM won the tag belts. Melina did the ol' leg on the rope distraction thing, and Eddie spent the whole time staring up her skirt. I appreciate the whole thing so much more now that he's gone. The guy was just a fantastic entertainer, an amazingly intense wrestler and a true legend.

It's been two years already? Geez, it seems like yesterday when my mom told me the news (she surprisingly found out first). I cried certainly, and two minutes later, she ordered one of my X-Mas presents right in front of me (you can probably guess it was the Cheating Death Stealing Life one). It also felt so weird having Kennedy vs. Guerrero two days before, and realizing that was his final match. And the last house show he was in my area, he was in a NO DQ match with the Undertaker, and.... DAMN IT!! One of the greatest of all time, and his ring work certainly proves it.

It doesn't feel close to two years, more like two days. Good luck ever finding another like him, you just can't do it.

Eddie dying was rough on me because not only was he one of my favorites, but it was the day after my grandfather passed away, and about 2 weeks after one of my friends passed away.

I think it was around this time on that day that I got on these very forums and there was nothing yet. My next move was pwinsider.com and a headline of "Former World Champion Guerrero Passes Away". Of course with a vague headline like that, I didnt think about it being Eddie, but at the same time, I couldnt think of another Guerrero who was another World Champion. So, I go to wwe.com, and there it was. I'll never forget his last match with Kennedy on Smackdown, and he went out the way he probably would have wanted to......cheating to win . While I know some people may not see it the same now, I will still never forget Chris Benoit's tribute interview on the Eddie tribute show. I had tried my best not to cry at all, but that one did me in. RIP Eddie, and Ive said it many times, but thank you very much for all the great memories. Edit: Heres the video from the Eddie tribute shows: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfzpWE2n8ZY

Indeed. Eddie will always be a guy who left his mark on the world, so at the very least, he left his legacy. I just wish it could have been a longer story. My thoughts go out to Vickie, their daughters, and everyone in the Guerrero family today.

No thoughts of your own? No personal memories, just two words? Eddie was an amazing wrestler who could do anything; brawling, lucha, power you name it. Having fought his demons for such a long time, I think everyone was completely shocked when he was taken. RIP, and thank you, Eduardo Gory Llanes Guerrero.
