I kinda don't want either, but invisibility is for creepers and stalkers, so I feel that's always a morally wrong choice to pick. There have been several examples of uses that don't fall under creeper or stalker. I chose flight because I've always wanted to fly but I can see value in invisibility. Could it be abused or used for the wrong reasons? Absolutely, but then so could any other power. Invisibility is not inherently wrong or bad morals.

Being a "chad" meant being an annoying fratboy dickhead. To be fair, a lot of people using absolute Chad as a positive term would probably find a lot to like in an annoying fratboy dickhead.

The only response I've seen is a friend randomly texting me to let me know they regret spending money to see this movie.

Exactly, if you tell me HHH would respect someone using interference to win matches, sure, understandable. He’d let himself and the rest of management allow their star to leave for weeks and weeks at a time with no recourse and then make a new belt because nobody can overcome that interference? That’s terrible management. Say what you want about MJF not wrestling much but at least he’s forced to show up to work by his boss on a consistent basis. The sparse appearances in kayfabe is due to Roman negotiating that into his contract with whatever higher ups handle that sort of thing. And the other piece of it that Triple H mentioned as a reason in kayfabe, was to have Roman and his title on one show and the newly created title on the other show. The thing is, it makes sense to have a world title for each show. Where they lose us is how they're going about it. This is one of the dumbest ways to do it and they gave up a perfectly great way to do it at Mania.
If having a title on each show is so important and Roman refuses to be on Raw, they could just strip him of the WWE title since it's the Raw World Title and he is Smackdown exclusive. They've stripped people of titles for worse reasons but at least then Raw might have a world title worth more than a roll of toilet paper.
It would still be terrible though, because no one would actually get the rub of beating Roman.
This is what it boils down to. We have heard the kayfabe reasons for this belt and they make no sense even within an entity like WWE. They had so many opportunities to split the belts and threw them away. Now they're making a new belt because no one can beat Roman.
What makes it worse is they're acting like Roman is this unbeatable god, rather than a guy who has only held onto his belts because of interference and cheating. He's basically Honkey Tonk Man if Honkey Tonk Man had cronies.

The first Spider-man is what got me to buy a PS4. I don't use it enough so I'm not sure when I'll upgrade but if I do, this will probably be why.
I'm gonna wait though, I got burned by buying the first one new and then them wanting a ton of money for the dlc and it not going on sale for a couple years, despite a collected edition only costing $10 more than the standard one. So I figure I'll hold off until they gather all the DLC and then eat this up.
I still have to play Miles Morales anyways.

It seems odd that HHH would acknowledge the cheating but do nothing about it. All he has to do is introduce a stipulation where Roman can lose the belt on a dq. If wrestling was real that would make sense to make things fair but heels would barely be able to be heels (other than like monsters who are capable of beating everyone clean anyway) if you actually punished them for cheating. Like irish whips and so much other stuff in wrestling, "why doesn't the babyface boss do anything about the cheating heel" is just something you have to suspend disbelief over because it doesn't make sense if you think about it too much. As played out as heel authority figures are, at least it makes sense when they let heels get away with everything. When you have a face/neutral figure it makes them look dumb if they do nothing. Right now you have almost the exact same situation in both companies with babyfaces HHH/Tony Khan bending over for top heels Roman/MJF, signing them to deals that say they rarely have to wrestle and can go months without defending their title and standing by and watching them cheat to win every PPV and doing nothing about it. Jack Tunney vacating the title and not allowing Andre/DiBiase to buy/sell it is one of the only big examples I can think of a face figure really stepping in and punishing heels. Although even then Hogan was completely screwed over. Why wasn't the original result completely null and void? In kayfabe Hogan should still have been champion and was screwed over by crooked referees. I'm all for suspension of disbelief in general. My point was that this isn't just the authority figure letting the heel be a heel. This is them creating an entirely new belt because of the heel. This would be like if Jack Tunney in response to Honky Tonk Man's reign created a new intercontinental belt. It just doesn't make sense. I can even see Triple H letting Roman get away with a lot of what he's done, because Triple H at his height was doing the same thing with Evolution. However, when you get to the point where you need a new belt? That's when it's time to take the kid gloves off.

There’s also this weird thing where they’re suggesting that Roman is being selfish and politicking to keep it when actually he’s just been beating everyone. Makes everyone fighting for this new belt look like a major wanker. Triple H cited both Roman politicking to get limited dates in his contract and Roman cheating to win as the reasons he continued to hold the title, in that original promo about the new title. He also said at the same time that it was about the brands, as Roman would have his titles on his brand he’s drafted to, and then the other show would have its own title. It seems odd that HHH would acknowledge the cheating but do nothing about it. All he has to do is introduce a stipulation where Roman can lose the belt on a dq. Making a new belt in this context makes hhh seem like Flanders parents, "we've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas man".

The trailers for Rat Race and Zoolander produced negative interest in me and then they ended up being hilarious.

Right now Jey and Jimmy are still Romans goons, and they are only central figures in the company due to being his goons. When that angle ends, both of them will go back to the tag division. Really depends what the end game of the angle is. Some have speculated that Jey could break off and beat Roman (not necessarily for the titles) and be a big-time singles face. Also they are much more than goons. They literally just main evented Wrestlemania in the first ever tag title main event. Not to mention that if the angle ends later this year, and they’ve been central figures of the company for 3 straight years because of the angle, does that somehow not count as elevating someone even if they “just go back to the tag division” if they’ve been a top talent for 3 years? It’s not like someone who gets a one month title feud, loses and then goes back to where he was. We've been talking about the possiblity of Jey breaking off for a big face run for a few years now. His nickname shouldn't be 'main event', it should be 'big tease'. At the beginning of this he really upped his game in his feud with Roman. That could easily have been nothing but he showed us something special there. However, it's been 3 years of will he, won't he, oh he's finally doing something! Nope, nevermind, he went back to Roman. Okay.
He's teased turning so many times and done so many terrible things that at this point, even if he did turn, it won't be what it could have been. He had no problem trying to end Kevin Owens career for example, or beating down any number of others. He has no problem constantly cheating on Roman's behalf. Yeah once in a while he cops a bit of attitude but then he falls in line.
I look at it like Kofi. Kofi was World Champion for many months and the second he lost that title, he was right back in the midcard like his run never happened. As much as I think Jey has the chops to for a bonafide solo run, he's going to end up back in the tag ranks with his brother when this is done...if it ever ends.
If Jey was going to turn, Mania was the time to do it.

It's every 3 consoles: Nintendo: NES: Good SNES: Great N64: Uhhh Gamecube: Good Wii: Great Wii U: Uhhh Switch: Great While the GameCube was a great system with some truly classic games, it's worth remembering that it is considered Nintendo's first major disappointment. Nintendo predicted it to sell 50 million units over its lifespan, but it sold under 24 million, which was also nine million fewer than the N64. First major disappointment in the home market. I knew exactly one person who owned the virtual boy.

Today I learned that there is a thing about pancakes vs waffles apparently? That reminds me of when I found out that supposedly there was a rivalry between star wars and star trek fans. I was in my late teens and loved both at the time, as did many of my friends. Took me completely by surprise.

Yeah facebook makes it easy to catch up with people I can't often reach out to because of my work schedule. That said, occasionally I feel like scrolling to see what's happening for people and often give up because I have to go through 4 or 5 posts to actually reach something posted by someone I know, and that's with an ad blocker. I get that they make their money off ads, but they seem to forget what got them to the table in the first place.

Yeah, they can attach whatever lineage they want to it, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a consolation prize.

During the course of Disney's timeline with their various animated works, there has been some notes or criticisms about how they would change the classic stories around (sometimes not taking into account how many times said stories had been modified over the centuries anyway). Even ignoring when these movies became major successes and probably changed a lot of public perceptions of how these stories went in the first place,, sometimes in the long run they are just better than the original general story. When do you think stuff like that happened. After watching a few Phelous videos on "Beauty and the Beast" adaptations, I'd say the Disney one helped to streamline things (remove the extra siblings for the titular beauty...and for that matter give her a name besides "Beauty" like many have done before, make the father not seem like a moocher and thief, more time building the relationship of the title characters) to make it overall a better told story than the other versions. Might also mention the Snow Queen thing leading to Frozen, but that more turned a villain into a brief anti-hero type character I'd say. To be fair, Belle is French for Beautiful, so they pretty much named her Beauty.

I remember they tried to push Kinect being required, then sales figures came in and surprise! Suddenly it's not required anymore. Man, I had forgotten just how many missteps they made with the xbone.

One thing, if they do turn I really hope they have to work for it. All the other faces should not trust them, especially Sami/KO. Call them on all the swerves and bs. Make them earn our trust.

One of the funny things with the Holodeck is you would think there's be some kind of emergency, things are screwed up and we need to shut it down switch, especially after how many documented instances of the holodeck going haywire and endangering crews and entire vessels. The damn things have their own energy source, there must be a way to just straight up kill its power and shut it down. But then I suppose that would make for boring television.
With Roddenberry I didn't realize for years that his contributions were greatly overstated and that he was responsible for some of the worst Trek episodes either directly or through his influence. 5 of the first 6 episodes in TNG are among the ones I hate the most. The more I've learned about Star Trek behind the scenes, the more I've realized that him stepping back was the best thing that could have happened to Star Trek.

Wow. Was this SUCH a trope? I mean, I remember the one from Family Matters and there's one from Step By Step with Mark, but I didn't remember the ones otherwise mentions...making 5 rehashes, 3 of which were on TGIF? Remember there being an episode pretty similar to that in Married With Children too. Sitcoms rehash everything.
How many sitcoms have the teenage guy is dating someone and his friends give him a hard time because he's doing nice stuff for her. He tries to assert his manliness, makes an ass of himself and then needs to apologize. It gets different trappings but I remember that in everything from the Cosby Show to Family Matters to Big Bang Theory.
Hell this hustled at pool even showed up in the one episode I ever watched of According to Jim.

I really enjoyed the series when it aired. I remember watching the premiere of season 6 or 7 with several other people in the lounge of our residence in my first year of university. I hated the first season at college, however that was a point where Angel was really good so I kept watching. It's funny there was a point where Angel was a slog but it was right as Buffy got good which also kept me watching.
I have the first two seasons of comics that continued the show and even some of the original post Angel comics, though I think they've since been rendered non-canon.
I've been tempted multiple times to go back and watch both shows but for some reason I haven't. I should at least try it at some point even if I am far less enamoured with Joss Whedon these days.

It’s been too long for me. I’ve thought about trying to join one of the local groups, but the most recent stuff I have is 3.5 edition. I know nothing about the last two editions. I’d played a few Star Wars RPGs and MechWarrior/BattleTech more recently. 5th edition is quite easy to pick up. A big part of the game design behind it was making it more accessible. Some folks don't like the more simplified streamlined rules, but it works. D&D is played by more people now than ever. For a lot of people 4th edition is basically the one they pretend never existed. 1st edition of Pathfinder was actually a refinement of the 3.5 system (often referred to informally as 3.75). That said, nowadays there are plenty of groups willing to take someone on who's been out of the game for a while.
