The guy does have a point Danielson is FAR from the 'total package' as a in-ring worker he is top notch but as a performer he leaves more than enough room for improvement.

Im not sure though i know Pac was meant to be doing some stuff with them during one of thier european tours? UFC have done a couple of shows here now and are going over HUGE! TNAs return is good for the global buisiness wihout a doubt but im not sure if the can fill the M.E.N Arena, thats one big joint for wrestling and WWE do well to fill it for some of thier TV tapings never mind TNA on a house show! Ambitious but it might pay off. TNA just need a better TV deal over here and they could explode in the UK.

Ah right, there are very few top notch trainers in Britiain, then again there are very few ones in the world! My comapany, Scottish Pro Wrestling are starting a training school and are bringing in some of the top UK Stars to lecture and do a seminar on a weekly basis come september so our students will be versed in all style and can go where they feel comfortable after nailing the basics. We are based Dumfries in the south west of Scotland so we arent far from Northern English Cities like Carlisle, Newcastle etc and the same goes for the Scots cities... max 1hr and half journey!

Alex has tons of stuff on, he does life coaching too. Only place you will see or read Alex just now is in Fighting Spirit Magazine, he does an interesting little column for trainees on how to work. Not the best wrestler but understands the buisness through and through, he also promotes TNA shows when they are over here. 1PW have stiffed so many people fans and workers, i know a ton of guys who wouldnt even work there again. Money marks with no idea atall. No business nous either. I think the comment about all being high fliers is way off the mark though, what have you been watching?

FWA booked themselves into financial trouble and broke down a while back though the company was brought back last year by Greg Lambert, its the XWA now i think. They still run a handful of shows a year. Im sure they still have a couple of schools dotted about the south of England.
Sounds like Golden Spike has been around! Your right on most of what you said, not seen Gilligan or Sam Slam yet but he undoubtedly needs a name change, ive heard a few of the boys talk about him here and there. I agree with Aisu aswell, hes not as great as some people seem to think. Never really spoke to him to him much, seems to keep himself to himself. Simmondz does get to much love but he has a real passion for the business and i think he could make some waves over the pond, not to sure why, just get that feeling from him. Ligero has talent but i think he should stick to the comedy schtick he uses, the kids love it and goes over huge. One for the politics ive been warned though, but then theres so many guys that do it. Iceman cut down his schedule after everything with wZw i think, havent heard from or seen him in ages actually. Never enjoyed his work though, not bad at what he did mind!

Slow buisness is typical of the UJK indys, alot of guys have no idea how to promote and market, even simple stuff. They dont know thier market and aim in the wrong direction. Agreed nealo every one of those boys deserve more! What about you guys from North America? seen anything?

There is a company in discussions with a couple of channels just now but cant really reveal anything more, hopefully it goes through though. I'd suggest getting some DVDs of smaller companies, my SPW card is somewhat of a UK supershow and id suggest watching it just to see some talented guys, trying not to self hype. Premier British Wrestling has some good DVDs too aswell as 3 Count Wrestling. 1PW was the major company but they are just a bunch of money marks bringing in US stars and making no profit, essentally killing the company.

Ligero is billed as being from Mexico... Zak Sabre Jr. Sha Samuels Terry Frazier Martin Stone As a UK team? lol. Stone is capable but there are guys 10x better than the others around. All depends on how much you see of other guys i spose. Id pick Doug, Darkside, Stone and Johnny Moss

The way im seeing it by jusdgin reactions from announcers and they way they were speaking b4 it happened, its a complete work. It just doesnt seem real. It was intended to shock and hasnt Russo recently said it was a work after not commenting for years?

They were three guys from England to be Team IPW UK. That's all. It was just them representing the company I guess. It's probably not a good representation for your company though. Its just that its a bad choice to represent the company because a) They have better workers (that could help guide ROH trainees thriugh the motions) and b) Those guys just dont compliment each other at all!!! Our company is based in Dumfries, Scotland and not in Glasgow! The wrestling channel used to be great for British well, English wrestling, used to never be off my tv now its all UFC and i dont watch it. recommended websites: www.ukff.com (UK Fan Forum, may be of use for discovering companies etc, give it a good look through!) www.scottishprowrestling.com (For info on my events, there isnt much up just now, its not even technically finished but feel free to have a look!) issue: Hope you can find some work that you enjoy as the british indys are as strong if not stronger than the US indy for talent. The top workers here could easily go over to ROH and hold thier own, as has been seen on various UK events when ROH, PGW, etc talent has come over here to work. Unfortunatley like any wrestling circuit in the world you do have promoters that have no clue and essentially just hurt business by putting on tribute shows and poor quality ones too!

Im interested to see how much you guys know or have seen of the modern british scene. I've been around the British indys for a while and recently came back from a 2-3 year stint away from it all, opening my own promotion. Over the time i've gone some of the wrestlers i know have improved or new ones have come on the scene that have blown me away. This is currently being reflected in North Amercia just now to an extent. Drew Galloway, Shemus O'Shaunassey, Paul Burchill all made thier name on the British indys and have all been seen in WWE in some capacity. There are also a couple of others in the WWE development system. The US indys also have thier UK stars; Doug Williams is a product of the UK indys and Nigel McGuiness was born in London. Now, there are so many wrestlers ready to break through to the US stage. Workers like Darkside, Liam Thompson, Martin Stone, Johnny Moss and Pac to name only a few class acts. There is such a wealth of talent here and its such a shame that so few people can come to the shows and see the talent on display. Have you guys ever heard of any of the above wrestlers or any others? Any opinion of British Wrestling in general?
