It was so embarrassing to watch that episode of The Soup with non-wrestling-fan family members who know I'm a wrestling fan.

Good on Switzerland, not only did the defendant want the trail to be dropped So we drop charges on the say-so of the accused now? Either that was a typo or you don't know what "defendant" means.

Spring for an external HD. They are so ridiculously cheap right now. This. It's a good investment anyway. I really can't imagine any three movies keeping me entertained for an entire month. Don't get me wrong, I can watch my favorite movies repeatedly, but there needs to be some time in between viewings.

Kane ending the streak would be pointless because Kane has been going nowhere for years (yes, I know, largely his own choice).

Who's the guy on commentary who dissed Mountain Dew? Is that Abe Washington? He has made a powerful enemy. Did they really name the guy from Milwaukee "Drake BREWER"? LOL @ the random nonsensical "strong style" reference.

I bet there are a couple of people on here that drink their own urine. You wanna do that too? Hey! I told you that in confidence! It frightens me that this topic keeps coming up here.

I'm too tired to say something sarcastic and witty, so:
There's like two people who do it and they annoy everybody.

Actually this one may be more appropriate for the situation.

Dude, I got into an accident barely a month after I got my license. Totaled my family's minivan. It was my fault, too - ticket said "failure to yield," I mistook a regular green light for a green arrow and turned in front of somebody going the opposite way. Thankfully nobody was hurt, and it was a 12-year-old Honda minivan that we used as our second car, and the insurance paid out the $3000 or so it was worth. But I know what you mean about being shaken up, although I felt like an idiot more than anything. OK, so that's empathy. Now for a laugh. Hmm, well, I'm kind of blanking, but here's something I just pulled out of my old bookmarks that I'm pretty sure I first found when somebody else on the 'Crap posted it a couple years ago. Please appreciate the effort, anyway. www.cracked.com/article_15699_p3.html

Has anybody in your family had Alzheimer's? (Onset at any age). No, and you guys are taking this way too seriously, though I appreciate the concern.

So last weekend I was cleaning up a stack of paper that had accumulated on my dresser and was surprised to discover three crispy $20 bills buried in the pile from God knows when.
And somehow I lost this windfall again as quickly as I found it. The money isn't in my wallet, it isn't in the pockets of any of my clothes that I've worn since then, it isn't in the laundry machine, it isn't in my dresser or nightstand, I didn't deposit it at the bank, and I know I haven't spent it.
It was only $60, not like a few hundred or something, and I suppose since I didn't know I had it before anyway I haven't really lost anything. Easy come, easy go, right? But at this point it's the principle of the thing that bothers me more than the actual money. It makes me wonder if I'm going crazy or something.
Would anyone care to reassure me that I'm too young to be losing my faculties? Or, you know, encourage my paranoia if that would bring more amusement?

Health icons. It's surprising to me that it took us this long to implement the system we see now in just about every FPS. I used to hate scavenging for health in Medal of Honor. Personally I'm not a fan of the auto heal that most fps use. I liked the health icons system better as it forced you to use more strategy then run in and shoot hide for x seconds continue. Also doing nothing to heal your gun shot wound is a pretty good way to end up dead I must agree. The "Stay behind cover for a moment and suddenly the sucking chest wound you just suffered is magically gone!" system that the Call of Duty games use is for wimps, IMO. Sure picking up health packs randomly scattered around the map is silly and unrealistic too, but at least that way taking damage matters a little.

This is only tenuously related to the thread, but I would like to make everyone aware, in case they were not already, that AMC is doing a Clint Eastwood marathon tomorrow, er, today (Saturday), and it looks to include the type of Eastwood fare which we all know and love (Unforgiven, etc).

Remember that brief time when almost every game was cel-shaded just for the hell of it? I'm glad that's died down considerably. Granted, a lot of games are still cel-shaded now, but now it seems to be done more tastefully. This. I thought Wind Waker looked ridiculous when it came out, and I'm only now starting to grudgingly appreciate it. Wasn't the whole ridiculous-random-long-password-save thing based on technical limitations of the time? I mean, I don't think game developers made their save system work that way because they thought it would be fun. But perhaps I'm just an ignoramus.
