The last couple of shows have been much better than that one mess of a show they had a few weeks ago right before the PPV.
That said, on whole, no. I can't say I'm enjoying it that much at all. I like a lot of the talent, but I still think utilization is a major problem this company has. It still feels like Thunder 2.0

I dont agree on Test whatsoever. Test was never pushed that hard once they got him out of the way after the angle with Steph and the McMahon/Helmsley era started. The ECW thing was essentially a mid-card deal when he was there, hell it remained a mid-card deal throughout the entire WWECW existence.
Billy Gunn was an upper mid-carder and barely sniffed the main event.
JBL had a KILLER gimmick. He didnt win the belt as Bradshaw or any major singles titles for the most part with that gimmick. JBL didnt exist in 2000-2001.
Val was a joke gimmick. There was no way a quasi-porn star would've held the main championship. Maybe as Morley and/if they gave him a decent push, but not as Val Venis.

Im not much of a Mickie fan, but since Gail left, they NEED a woman with a name to revitalize the entire women's division. Mickie is easily more well known and popular than Gail, but I also think they need a heel on the level of Kong to really energize the division. I don't buy TBP as top heels because they're all sub-par in the ring. At least Mickie has the capability to carry a match.
As for cutbacks and that stuff, they can easily subsidize a contract with Panda Energy.

Serious question What makes his character different than Orton as a heel except for the Irish part? They are/were both brutes that kick people to put them out of action. FELLA! I think he's literally night and day now compared to when he first made the big roster. He's coming back into his own the way he did when he was in FCW. He's definitely more charismatic than Orton and he seems to be more mouthy. I was quite disappointed in him through his first run, but since that time, I think he has grown and is a lot more entertaining. When its time, Sheamus will make a good babyface.

I've warmed up to Sheamus big time over the last few months. I think his character is growing and he plays it very well + he's believable in the ring.
My problem with this scenario is yet another HHH title run and the inevitable boredom associated with that.

thought it looked funny but then I met a girl who loves beards. Then when she dumped me I shaved it off in anger but decided to let it grow back. Same exact boat as me the last time I grew it out. Met this stunner who had a thing for beards, grew it to her specified length, she kicked me to the curb a few months later, shaved it off in anger and now growing it back again cause I want to. In fairness, prior to her I had one every few months, but we met when I was clean shaven lol. Will never do anything vanity wise for a woman again. EVER.

Back during the War and even prior to that era, there was always talk of dream matchups, i.e. Austin vs Goldberg, etc. Obviously now with Vince pretty much dominating the landscape, are there any big money matches left in the business that can occur now?
There are matchups that can be made obviously, but IMO none of the big money dream matchups that we used to all pine for.
I've been thinking about this for the past half hour or so and I cannot come up with one of those type of matches in my head now. They've either happened or have no chance of happening due to death/left the business/age/etc.

Voted for other and blood clean-up.
Other is a problem that started before PG started. It's the dilution of the product and the constant hot-shotting of angles and feuds. While this was rampant in the Attitude era, the difference was there were more (not all) compelling storylines, a feud for the ages (Austin-McMahon), and a roster that was capable of pulling off a hotshot.
Now, the roster is much more diluted. There is not nearly enough emphasis placed on character development at the low or mid-cards, and rarely are feuds allowed to develop any sort of drama outside of the main event. The main event scene itself has been stale for going on 5 years now, probably longer. The Attitude's era main event scene, while largely composed of the same guys, was able to evolve storyline wise and the writing was compelling enough so that the dilution was minimal + the overall quality of the main event scene was so stellar that little things were easier to give a pass to.
The stopping for a cut is absolutely ridiculous though. Wrestling is violent in nature and guys are going to get busted open from time to time. Even in boxing, they dont stop a fight due to a cut unless its really bad. They wait until the round is over before going to their corner.
The PG product could be much better if the writing was up to par. Quit hiring TV writers or JUST TV writers. Get some wrestling minds back there and put more emphasis on character and gimmick development. I want to invest in some of these guys, give me something compelling and reason to. You dont need blood and language to create a compelling storyline, but IMO, it does give it a bit more of a kick when done correctly.

I liked 1wrestling before it became a pop-up machine. First ever message board I ever posted on (not counting AOL) was on that one. Amazing that it went from one of the better sites to what is now a site that you won't go to if you value your computer. Once Scherer, Woodward and Mike Johnson left and started PWI, that was it for 1W. That fat blob Bob Ryder ruined it.
