On another note, it is interesting what is going on with Tenzan and Iizuka. Will we see the old Iizuka for his retirement match or at least some glimpses? I imagine Iizuka will be a hybrid of sorts, kind of how he acted during the WTL match with ZSJ/Taichi. People can hate on Iizuka all they want, but some wrestlers dream of getting the reaction he got for a damn sleeper hold in Korakuen Hall. Interesting enough New Japan just loaded a match with Tenzan/Iizuka vs the Most Violent Players.

Ron came off as one of the most honest of the interview subjects for the Jim Crockett promotion documentary from a few years ago. It's even more convincing that Ricky Morton said the exact same things about Dusty in his shoot. Dusty was still a draw, but others drew more in the Carolinas. Dusty really should have been in the upper midcard at best by the mid 80s, his best years were behind him in the ring. Although he was still a damn good promo.

The main event wasn't an all time classic, but it certainly had it's moments and they booked Naito as the ultimate underdog babyface. I am interesting in where 2019 leads for Naito, where 2018 he was kind of stuck in limbo.
I loved the Heavyweight tag team title match, New Japan finally seems to be headed in the right direction after a pretty good World Tag League. Evil and Sanada are the right team to lead the division.
On another note, it is interesting what is going on with Tenzan and Iizuka. Will we see the old Iizuka for his retirement match or at least some glimpses?

Good Guy Tama facing off with Yano is one of my favorite things in this tour.

Exactly, Bolivar, Tennessee has a population of a little over 5,000, after looking it up. This didn't happen in Chicago, where the coroners are clearly overloaded. For what it's worth, some coroner offices (at least in California) are county-based. So that means they're responsible for bodies from multiple communities. But I'm not sure how things operate in Tennessee I believe most coroner's offices are county based and this one is as well. Bolivar is the largest city in the county and looking it up, the county's total population is 27,000. So it is not a largely populated county by any means.

I see them less than stables and more like mma type gym affiliation. Like Bullet Club I no longer consider a stable because the Samoan contingent hates the elite. There is no more Elite, they left New Japan and the whole stable is working as one again.

What I wouldn't give to be running the dirtsheets in a time when anything at all can be considered news and fuel valid enough speculation to run with stories about trademarks. Why? Just start a Twitter and start doing it like 90% of the other "news sites". You don't even need facts, you can just make shit up. This has been going on with the IWC since I was aware of it in the mid 90s. The only difference is there are more platforms to do it on.

These guys are flops in WWE. While they are definitely underused, I just don’t see anything particularly special in them. They have no gimmicks and they’re not good enough in ring to “not have a gimmick” like say... The Revival or American Alpha. I think, with a bit of creative freedom, Karl Anderson could be money. Gallows, not so much. Anderson was successful in New Japan and leader of the Bullet Club for a period of time. He had some good singles matches in the company and was pretty good on the stick. But I am sure wherever he goes, he's taking Gallows with him. Maybe they go back to New Japan, ROH or AEW. Their options are pretty wide open. They were flops in WWE because Vince doesn't know how to book tag teams and over scripts promos. Just look at their work on Southpaw Regional Wrestling, it was gold.

With the Elite gone and Bullet Club more streamlined, it seems stables in New Japan have gotten more of a chance to shine, outside of CHAOS, which almost doesn't even seem to exist anymore. With the New Beginning tour, members of LIJ, Suzuki-gun and Bullet Club are all getting chances to shine in tag and singles title matches. Also, while LIJ is my favorite, Suzuki-gun being a close second, Bullet Club has progressed greatly in last couple of months.

Thanks I was mistaken. Yeah according to Meltzer he makes so much money he doesn’t need a wwe deal. Ok njpw you have more money than I thought. The money wasn't there a few years ago, but as they've grown and steadied their finances, the money has been getting better. They wouldn't be flying in all the foreign talents if they didn't have money to burn, and if anything that has slowed down in the past few years. They won't have the money to throw around huge leverage deals on everybody the way WWE can and that'll probably mean strategically letting people go if there are a lot of raids, but the top guys aren't likely to be going anywhere. New Japan is doing more shows this year, since September it seems like a lot more shows, which is where they get a bulk of their revenue. I am sure they will once again beat last year's revenue by a significant margin. Also, losing the Elite will free up some money as well, even though several wrestlers have received new contracts, including Juice Robinson and Tanahashi.

The only thing I could find is that G+ (the satellite channel NOAH is on) is in talks to air the show on March 10th. Nothing suggests that it will be streamed anywhere (this isn't a NJPW or AJPW event, but a completely seperate thing). If that's the case there's a chance it'll be up on purowresudream or rutube. In terms of official streaming it sounds like it would be hard for either company to do it unfortunately. I'm really considering going so I can at least drunk comment on it. That main is really interesting in terms of who they have pin Yoshitatsu, and Tanahashi's interactions with...well, either of them lol. Back to the New Beginning stuff, EVIL vs. ZSJ is probably what I'm looking forward to the most. Naito/Taichi are fun together but it's going to be filled with clutter, and Suzuki/Sanada has not so great chemistry written on it but I'm more than happy to be surprised. Someone will definitely upload the show eventually, although being for Baba, I would think AJPW would have the rights. As far as New Beginning, I think Taguchi vs Ishimori is going to be the best title match of the tour and the one I am looking forward to most, even though the odds of Taguchi winning are slim to none. White vs Tanahashi will be interesting, as there is a good chance White could win and I think it will be their best match so far, but that doesn't mean it will reach levels of greatness.

Half a year is not normal, no. He didn't die during the black plague, they're not THAT busy. Exactly, Bolivar, Tennessee has a population of a little over 5,000, after looking it up. This didn't happen in Chicago, where the coroners are clearly overloaded.

So it's not odd that none of the security cameras were working in his cell? That sounds very strange to me. Jerry might be grasping at straws and he probably just wants closure, but there are a lot of odd things going on here. Or that they haven’t produced a coroner reports in months. Yeah, there is a lot of fishy stuff going on here. If I was a betting man, I would think that a guard had issue with him. Like you said earlier, if an inmate did it, they most likely aren't going to cover it up, unless the guard wanted it to happen or was paid off somehow.

I don't watch WWE anymore, so right now the first that comes to my mind is the Briscoes. I don't care about anything they do and wish they would just go away.

So the main event of the Giant Baba memorial show will be Hiroshi Tanahashi & Yoshitatsu vs. Kento Miyahara & Daisuke Sekimoto. That should be really good! Sounds awesome. Do you think this will air on AJPW TV or will we have to wait for someone to upload it on YouTube from Japanese television?

It really sounds less to me like a conspiracy than a parent being deep in denial and grasping at straws. I can’t imagine what Lawler is going through, but he seems to be trying really hard to generate smoke when there is no real fire. So it's not odd that none of the security cameras were working in his cell? That sounds very strange to me. Jerry might be grasping at straws and he probably just wants closure, but there are a lot of odd things going on here.

I know. I said that in my post. I really hope there's more to it and AEW aren't pulling carny bullshit with their talent Surely if this is the case then it's the talent to blame not the promotion? Can't blame AEW for making an offer, if he's backtracking in a verbal agreement then that's on him. Sounds like something Vince would say about some of the backhanded things he did to the territories. However, Trent is finishing the US tour and honoring his current dates, so it's better than when Vince would take guys from territories. I will say, I don't understand why AEW would do anything underhanded to New Japan. Currently they don't have a deal, but that could change and Harold Meij has said he is open to considering it in the future. AEW has already made an enemy in Vince, do they really need the CMLL/ROH/NWA/RevPro alliance going against them as well?

AEW or no continued interest from New Japan? AEW. Apparently Berreta had a verbal agreement with NJPW but signed with AEW. Not a huge surprise, Berreta and Taylor can play "Dicks In Real Life" over there, while New Japan had little to do with Berreta outside of him being an occasional US title/Tag Team title contender. One thing is certain, with so much talent leaving it will be interesting to see who is pushed to filled the void. For New Japan, this might be a good thing, as the roster was getting so crowded, even very strong talent had nowhere to go.

-11F, where the heck do you people live where it is -21/-25? I’m in southwest Manitoba, about 75 miles north of the Can/US border. Sun is shining bright now, so we’ve actually warmed up to -30 C (-22 F) and -35 C (-31 F) with the windchill It's -9 now with the sun just setting, which is warmer than they predicted. Is this record breaking weather in Manitoba, because -13 will be a record where I live in northern Indiana?
